Player or Agent greed mate. "I love this club" is the biggest crock of bullsh*t to come out of a players mouth. "I love the ripoff wages this club pays me" is more truthful. And yes, it is the fans through tickets & merchanidse and club sponsors paying up. I get fed up with Agent demands etc. If I had my way player gents would be banned from the game. I never got an agent tor organise my employment, what makes players so different?
 
The other cliche they then announce is "But a players career could be cut short" Thats what insurance & super annuation plans are for. And on the dosh players today get, perhaps a visit to an accountant.
 
If I have a work related injury I have only ACC to fall back on.

Anyone with more than 50 quid in their pocket could buy QPR! We're now known as "The Spagetti Hoops" not the Superhoops anymore.

He's in a bitter battle with his ex agent. JAR is suing him for 3m GBP for something or other and in retaliation the agent pitched up at Liverpool County Court and filed for bankruptcy for unpaid fees. The order was overturned  a few hours later, once his lawyer found out.

I think the press told him about it at the Liverpool training ground, from what I can remember.
