A comfy win in the end, but I do wish they could start playing at the beginning of the first half instead of the second. It's almost as if they need the first forty-five to see how things are going to be, and then at half-time the team gets tweaked and they come out ready to win. It's been like that for the last few games. Strange.
I thought Rooney was outstanding, Walcott promised but didn't fulfill and James looked shaky. Wayne Bridge as a replacement for Cashley didn't really come off, although his quick thinking on a throw-in led to Heskey's excellent run and on-a-plate ball to Rooney for England's second. I'd probably have Nicky Shorey in the next squad as cover rather than Bridge.
All in all, four wins from four (three away) and SA2010 beckons already.

Yeah I only caught the last 20mins not exactly awe inspiring but a good win and S.G. should have scored a fourth.

looks like Harry hotspur and others were right, failing to make euro was worth it to get rid of McLaren

4 from 4 - hell not even Hull City can match that !

Yeah, about the miss, what was Gerrard doing hitting that with his right foot? It was a calm, left-footed stroke into the empty net if I've ever seen one.

What was ferdinand (I think it was him) doing for the Belarus goal? It almost looks like he ducked.

Yeah the defending was a bit questionable Malky but tbf that Belarus goal was up there with some of the great team goals you will see. I know on the net you only get the finished product but in the entire build up there was around 25 passes and some of the ball movement was exceptional.

Three for me, and two for them.
