Good match so far. I love the intensity of it,
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Nasty match. What's changed that derby matches have gone this way?

Hard luck lads,

That derby has had more red cards then any other fixture in the history of the Premier League.

I thought they called it the Friendly Derby?

They did. And it was (by all accounts!) But then the c**ts came along.

how do you mean ?

Well, I'm loathe to blame you entirely (and to be honest I don't really know enough about it- so just disregard what I say) but a lot stems from a real bitterness for Everton missing out on Europe because of Heysel. However, while we stayed good enough to get into Europe after the ban, their glory years were over and a lot of (particularly young ones) picked up and started to hate us for it. Although we still sing some pretty nasty songs and the like- so I don't see us as blameless. But the 'murderers' and 'justice for the 39' chants are bang out of order, in my opinion. To be fair though, there are c**ts on both sides.

But I'm sure that's not it all. Just part of the reason. As an Atletico supporter I can understand why you like to claim to be "The People's Club" (although it's not really true!) and all that. And why you hate yor successful neighbours- but Atleti is (or at least was) as much political hatred- Madrid the fascists against Atleti the workers. There isn't really that going on in Perennial strugglers Liverpool.

On a side note, I am proud that our players really got stuck in on your lot with some big tackles- no  bottlers. We matched Fellaini and Pienaar! Mind you, the ref was absolutely awful.

Oh I see so it was a history thing.

Actually I'm suprised the Arse United or maybe Arse Spurs games aren't high up in the red card stakes - merely as Arsenal have just had so many red cards under Wenger. Having said that, there doesn't seem to be a Merseyside derby that ends 11 a side.

2- one to Krygiakos and one to Pienaar. Although Fellaini was lucky to stay on. But there was some stat about how many red cards there have been over the last 20 derbies or something.

Carragher was lucky too. That tackle on Pienaar was shocking. Fellainis was bad but not a red in my (blue tinted) eyes. His foot never got more than a few inches off the ground and it was never studs up either.

Its no longer a problem.

I just wondered how he got injured? I think they both should have been sent off anyway, and fully expected it to happen. Which tackle on Pienaar? The one which he got booked for? When he was getting the South African prat back for his tackle on Masch? Fellaini should have gone. As well as for the kick at Kuyt's face. But anyway. It makes me angry! Grr...

HUGE win over Perennial Strugglers Chelsea . Total domination from start to finish. We even missed a pen just before 1/2 time to make sure Chelsea could make a game of it in the second half. Toffeeman2010-02-11 11:22:54

ManU, Spurs and Arse next in the league. Having just had Perennial strugglers Liverpool and Chelsea, that is a hell of a run. Can still see 9 points coming though.

Its no longer a problem.

just watching the replay

i rate donovan, he's a class act. I was hoping he'd do well when you fellas got him - the US are always fairly high in the world rankings, i was wondering and waiting for one of their best to look decent in a big european league (aside from their great supply of decent goalkeepers!)
