Fantasy Premier League 2016/17 #NZTwitterFPL

25 entries are now confirmed and entries are now closed. A total prize pool of $250 to be allocated as:

1st Prize - $150

2nd Prize - $65

3rd Prize - $35

In the event that 1st place is tied, they will share the total prize amount for 1st & 2nd. If more than two player are tied, they will share all of the prize pool.

In the event that 2nd place is tied, they will share the total prize amount for 2nd and 3rd.

In the event that 3rd place is tied, they will share the total prize amount for 3rd place only. 

If it's all tied, you'll just have to assume I'm doing it in the fairest way possible, needless to say that at least 3 people will be making money.

Keen..... but I'm one of those players that are all into it for 5-6 weeks and then completely forget about it.

Super fun playing this but I think I'll give it a miss this season...

I hate how it clouds my thought processes when watching football... Arsenal were leading a game by a cupla goals last season, and I found myself hoping we would concede, because I knew a couple of my rivals had Arsenal defenders in their side and I didn't want them getting clean sheet points.

That was the moment when I thought f*ck this, never again!

I'm still bitter that I led ronniemac virtually all season only for him to come back and pip me at the post.

Payback time?

This sounds cool. How many people played in this league last year? I've been playing FPL for a few years but this'll be my first season as a user of Yellow Fever.

Not sure, possibly about 20 for the YF one, however, I'm running this for any football fans around NZ so have some from Twitter, some from in here. For this season, if yourself and PaulM play, we've already got 11

I'm going to run it as a league based purely on total points throughout the season rather than a head to head format.

I'll be duplicating this message into Twitter as well as we have some players on Twitter and some in the YFF but few in both.

We have 14 players so far and I'm sure we'll get more as the deadline gets closer. Fantasy EPL is not up yet, once it is, I'll set the league up and you can all join once you've selected your teams.

Entry is $10 which needs to be paid before the first game kicks off.

We have Brumbies, Ronnie Mac, Paul M, Jaume and ajc28 keen and a total of 14 people when I include the Twitter participants.

Will keep adding more as they join and will let people know about the final prize allocation once we reach kick off for the season. I'll also update people as to when the Fantasy EPL site is up and running. 

Just chucked in my $10 so it should get to you tomorrow! Can't wait for FPL to start, I thought it would've been up and ready by now!

PaulM still needs convincing to play, hes adamant its not spoiling his season this year.

Just imagine - you could reverse "curse of the commentator" it. Fill your team with players not from Arsenal and then all the AFC players are bound to have a blinder...in fact, if you DON'T join, it spells certain doom for Arsenal.
