Final day sub-plots

So aside from the Manchester City & Manchester United battle for supremecy on the final day, there are plenty of other sub-plots brewing.

  1. Arsenal & Tottenham - the viscious NLD rivalry at it's best, with Arsenal overhauling a huge gap to get themselves to this position, and with only 1 point between them & a champions league spot, there's a lot riding on both matches! Arsenal need to beat West Brom away from home to clinch it. Spurs need to beat off felow Londoners Fulham to keep the pressure on.
  2. Everton & Liverpool - Everton are 1 point ahead of their bitter rivals. Based off recent form Liverpool are starting to perform which should put pressure a very attacking Swansea team at home, and even more so on David Moyes team. However Everton have a tough task of beating an in-form Newcastle side, with a goal scoring beast in Cisse that needs to be chained!
  3. Fulham & Liverpool - Fulham are currently equal with Liverpool, but the key difference being that liverpool are sitting 8th & Fulham 9th. I could well stand corrected, but that 8th spot is vital for Fulham to grab to get into Europa next year. Liverpool will care less about this due to their automatic qualification via the Carling Cup, but their desire to beat Everton should be enough to get them excited about a win.
  4. Bolton & QPR - Relegation has been confirmed for both Wolves & Blackburn, but there is still hope for Bolton. Bolton sit two points behind QPR, meaning beating Stoke & QPR faultering away to City could see them come up. I'm quietly confident of City getting the result, so can Bolton do the job against Stoke? Depends on if they can keep lanky quiet!

Thoughts on the weekend ahead?

Sorry, but how on earth is Fulham and Liverpool battling for mid table nothingness exciting?

Newcastle are far more important on the final day. They can still get 4th (or 3rd).

Three for me, and two for them.

Oh, and 8th spot doesn't, nor never has, gotten you into Europe.

Three for me, and two for them.
