Any of the old Knights followers on this forum able to give me a critique of Greg Duruz? He is currently on trial with Brighton.

Before he had his first game for the Knights I was excited about how good he could be because he'd played for Basel (I think it was Basel), but in the end he turned out to be pretty awful.

Condolences if you support Brighton and he makes the team.

This thread is in the wrong section.

Fairly good defender, although invisible in some games and stand out in others, voted fans MVP on several  (at least 1) ocassions, looked a bit tubby last time he played at NHS, very committed (got sent off a few times), a bit aggro or easily wound up (got sent off a few times). Fitted into the Knights like an old shoe.

Greg Duruz... aka The Flying Elbow...

Yeah, spent an excessive amount of time booked and/or suspended.  Was pretty good, though not the level you would have expected.

Mind you, Milicevic seems to have confirmed the suspicion that Swiss league football < A-League football.

Committed far too many needless fouls when attacking, thus conceding possession. Seemed to lack football nous.

Yeah he was brutal, could have played for the Roar...could be suited to lower league football in England though, tough tackler and a decent left foot to knock balls into corners

Normo's coming home

Might aswell sack Moss then

Anyway - ignoring all the f**khead comments - He generally was quite decent - apart from his elbows flying everywhere. Very strong. Sometimes he makes silly fouls and gets caught out of his position, also his distribution is pretty woeful.

You should sign him to spare any other club in the world having him on their books.

I'm sure he played in the Champions League with FC Thun.

Durez was useful, but dissapointing, he let the team down with his unnecessary fouls. You wouldnt want him for the Phoenix, he isnt up to this years standard, let alone how competitive it will be next season.

It's about this point you should realise how out of your depth you are and slowly back away from this discussion.

Could play defence, but seemed to be attracted to yellow and red.

Not really as bad as people make out.

Maybe, that is just an opinion from Aussie!

Still remember the elbow he did on the far side of the pitch at NHS - for the life of me can't remember who it was on.

I remember him getting a red late on against CCM for elbowing somebody. (I think)

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

lol

What is even funnier is that for a decent period of time, Moss was understudy to a certain Julio Cuello

Back when we were good you mean?

Three for me, and two for them.

Hmm, was quite stong under attack, saw him get out of some difficult situations.  Thought he lacked a yard or two of pace when going forward.  Played a professional passing game, passing rather than hopeless chipping.  A notch below what was required.  Also questioned whether he was 100% fit.  Saw one tackle he did which was so loud, I can't figure out how they both emerged without broken legs.
