I'd be really grateful if you could contact Sky and help persuade them that the Championship play-off final should be LIVE.

my argument is that if they've got the rights to it surely they can show it live! and that it is a big game for football fans whoever they support

Although we will not have any coverage rights of the semi-finals, I have just been advised by our Sports Department that we have obtained rights to the Coca-Cola Championship final which is scheduled to air delayed on 25th May at 7.30am on SKY Sport 2. Please check your EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) closer to date to confirm scheduling.
I will certainly pass your feedback on to our Sports Department to take under consideration for future seasons.

Standard Issue reply, I sent them one message and they sent me two copies of the above. But we knew that. I was asking for the semits to be shown too.

update - spoke to someone at SKY -who appeared to be very helpful - they've got live rights but there is some question about whether they can get a live feed
I suggested it was strange to pay for live rights, if the people who sold you those live rights could then deny you a live feed (does that make sense to you ubergunner??)
I suggested (politely) that maybe someone could just decide to show it live
she said she'd forward my request to her managers and get back to me tomorrow (which i suppose shows a bit of commitment to customer 'service')
All i want is a "yes"
(oh yeah and hull city to be there, but Watford fans, don't let that put you off from talking to/emailing Sky!!)
As above, I'd be grateful if you/anyone/someone/everyone gave Sky some polite encouragement to show the play-off final live!

probably clashes with a replay of Toyota heartland rugby.
i'm going to ring them about other ridiculous things they do with regards to football programming. E-mails just don't convey my emotions well enough for my liking,i'll mention the final to them as well. note to self: maybe i should do that bit first

cheers LG, right now I've abandoned the idea of the semis, but am hanging out to watch the final live
all SKY sports advertising used to be geared up to the idea of how important it is to see the game live!!
if it were delayed i would have already followed it on the web (either text commnetary or a skyped radio broadcast) which kinda stuffs the idea of the family promotion party in Palmy

(my wife's been training me in how to do the customer thing she is brilliant at it - starts off all sweetenss and light -which ussually works for her, then if that doesn't work she just digs in for ther long haul - they ussually crumble after about 30 mins -it's impressive - I'm no where near in her league -yet!)

If you want to "watch" it live i reccomend you downalod a copy of Sopcast and find the Setanta feeds for the game and watch it live. This may also work for the semis.

be a bit strange having a party round a computer screen but if needs must
still my preference is for it to be live on Sky (cue, Rolling Stones .. "I saw her today at the reception .....)

if it gets off the ground i wonder if i could persuade my dad who's in his 70's and a bit stuck in his ways to come down to Welly for the final and head to the BB with me at 2. am - he does surprise me sometimes so you never know
I'd be keen to see this monday morning's game but as it's just me - i'd prob do your idea of sopcast at home
the second leg will be hell either way - as it's my job to get the 5 year old to school in the mornings

for the previous two years when Arsenal werent a title contender, sky showed bugger all of their games live. I subsrcibe to arsenal tv, but thats only audio commentary. it was another Gooner who put me onto the live streaming. The only reason we havent done it for the public @ the BB is it could jepordise our license. also 2am would be a strecth for me to get there as i start work 6:30 am. if the game was an eveing kick off we may be in luck though

cheers for the idea Ubergunner, but it is a 2.a.m K.o, and yeah I did think it would be a bit risky interms of your licence (was great for just me at the laptop last night -so cheers for the tvants idea!)
Sky are being complete and utter f**king w**kers at the moment - they never got back to me like they said they would, so i rang again after 20 mins (nice person) but she relayed a message from the programmer that at that time they are planning to show
