I was quite surprised your mob got the 'Thud' too. His lack of mobility is all that stops him from being a 'usual' Top Six team player, but I think you are quite right that any other EPL team would be glad to have him. His passing range is phenomenal, so I look forward to seeing how the Tigers do with him pulling some strings

Cheers LG, we had to work hard defensively in the 2nd half and glad we weren't pinged for Livermore elbow ball in the box

but we also hit the post in the 2nd half and got in to some good positions up until Vaz Te and Downing came on pressed us back down the flanks

very pleased with our start to the season ... whew!

Me too pleased with your start to the season. I like to see the more established sides given a wake up call. Sunderland are in some serious trouble.

Top half at the second international break - happy about that

0-0 v Villa - not a stunner but it's all about survival

Very average performance by us - hardly created a chance. I think it's the worst I've seen Elmohammady play.. his crossing was woeful. Commentators were saying he is the worst crosser of the ball they have ever seen in the premier league. I wouldn't go as far as that, I just think it was a one off. Generally I think he is a very very good player. Perhaps he was playing out of position at right wing, I think he is a better fullback. Curtis Davies was excellent. He has been a real gem of a signing so far. Not sure if I see anything in Danny Graham to be honest, I feel like he looks well off the premier league pace. It is a shame because a couple of seasons ago he was brilliant for Swansea. Boyd has had a couple of cameo stints off the bench but haven't seen too much from him yet.

In saying this, a point is a point. We are in a fantastic position at this stage of the season ( 3 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses) and have only lost to Chelsea and Man City. Couldn't have asked for a better start. Very happy thus far!

I recall Elmo playing winger or wingback until this season, and he's been at fault for at least two goals at fullback. As ytou say a bit of an off day v Villa.

Everton away will be a test, hopefully it's Lukaku's turn for an off day.

Brady might be able to make an early return from his hernia op but Koren and Chester are still 3-4 matches away.

Great start but, in true Yorkshire fashion, best I grumble a bit .....  injuries and lack of sufficient impact from Danny G and Sagbo could make for some anxious months

but what a great ride so far!!

we deserved a point

reasonable depth in our squad though with fringe players aquitting themselves well (fringe for Hull City being anyone ouside our best 14 or so)

good set up by Steve Bruce

a bit scary to see Aaron McLean brought on in Prem

we deserved a point

well that was an interesting match

red cards helped but we didn't exactly make it non-stressful

we were looking good 11 v 11

credit to sunderland for 2nd half tactics

pleased with the way our squad is holding up so far - shame Aluko was injured in warm up (he gives us a bit extra working in front of Huddlestone)

impressed with how Sagbo makes things happen

3 points -YES!

If this comment has taken a while to arrive then it matches the 119 year wait for a win v Liverpool

for the vast majority of those years we "literally, in the literal sense of the word!, have not been in the same league/division as them

but Monday morning commute was a very smiley affair

Sagbo continues to fit in the EPL and the Bruces young and old made all the right decisions

Huddlestone almost earnt a haircut

(and just for when I look back on this in years to come ... 3-1 (1-1) Livermore, Meyler, Huddlestone (almost)

Arguably the biggest win in our history? Steve Bruce has contracted some great talent and is proving to be a very good manager. I've said it before but I believe the signing of Huddlestone is the best transfer in Hull City's modern history (from the time I've watched and supported them). He is a superb players and the fact he is only 26 and has been contracted for 3 years is fantastic for the club. Could see him walking into 99% of professional clubs around the world, without a doubt. Chester, Davies and Elmohammady have also been revelations for me. I really do rate Elmohammady and am suprised he was released for only 2 Million by Sunderland. They would have got well needed service out of him if they retained him.

Hopefully Steve Bruce doesn't get snared by a top club in the future..

I reckon the win at the Emirates in our first ever EPL season was our biggest ever.

Agree about Huddlestone and Davies, not so sure about Elmo

Figueroa is a bit good I reckon and hope we can hang on to Livermore. Sagbo has what it takes imo and is learning with each game and I can't wait to see Sone Aluko back.

Swans up next, be great to get something for only the 2nd time on the road this season.

'Boro in the cup.. hhhmm could be a bit messy.

Six nil

I can't remember scoring six before in the league except v Tranmere i think about 7 years ago

great to see Huddlestone, Boyd, Koren and Fryatt all open their Premier League acccount for City ( til we die)

considering it was nil nil at halftime I'm still in shock :)

tenth place - stoke might overtake us tonight but we will remain7 pts clear of the drop ( with superior goal diff)

whew!
