Who Should Your Club Sign, and Why.

The signings should be realistic, I mean its not like Brighton And Hove Albion will sign Kaka!!!!

Make the signing a player that could possibly join you. Using the example of Brighton again, they could never get Kaka, but they could get an aging Brazilain like Leonardo.

My club is Arsenal, and I want a player like Christian Chivu, this is a real leader, and he would make the young players that we have play even better, as he has had tremendous expereince for Roma and now Inter. Also being Romanian, he would probaly adapt better to england than players from further a field. Sure his fee would be very high, probaly 20 million plus. But to me it would be money well spent.

To throw a 2nd player into the red and white would be Michael Carrick, this is a guy that dose his work, and dose it well. He has played consistantly well through his career, and is a great loss to Newcastle. Coming from the wet North East, he would have no worries in playing up there on FA Cup 3rd round day when we get drawn away to Leigh RMI, and he knows the true tradiotions of the greatest cup tournamant in the world. Also his time spent playing in North London means he will already know the best places to buy a house, and will have no problems with language or history, and seeing he has moved means his loyalty can easily be bought!

Total outlay around 50million, and we have already been told that Arsenal have upto 60million to spend on players. These two could go along way to winning something tangerable, and not just qualifing for something else.

I think Essien from chelsea would be the perfect partner for Fabregas in CM. Of course when it comes to chelsea players money is the only object.

Per Mertesacker or Phillippe Mexes in defence
David Silva on one wing
Hatem Ben Arfa on the other
David Villa up front

Three for me, and two for them.

I support Leyton Orient. I'd like us to sign Duncan Edwards. OK, he may be dead, but his worm-riddled corpse would still be a better player than most of the current crop.
Nix, Leyton Orient and Alloa Athletic supporting schmuck.

Smeltz would fit nicely into the Dundee team. Good tall guy would be suited to Scotland Div 1. Would also get Barbarousos for a bit of flair - even though one of the old firm would buy him a few years later after he starts banging in loads of goals.

Oh - and after Strachan is finished with Celtic, I'll have him as manager. May sound unrealistic but he is an ex-Dundee lad (who isn't?!?!).Colvinator2008-04-30 18:20:51

I don't get this thread - money is no object, although you have to be realistic?  Surely if money is no object, I can sign Ronaldo for Wharfies by paying Manchester United 10 billion, and giving him 5 billion for every game (safe in the knowledge that he would only play every second week due to flooding).

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Yes, the if money wasn't an object thing isn't relevant if you have to be realistic. Because if you are realistic then money is an object. Obviously.

Good point Frankie Mac.

i'd love the shrews to get Dave Edwards back to the club (currently with wolves). mostly because the midfield has turned to crap without him. Add to that i'd like to see Joe Hart come back (pretty self explanitory)

What I was trying to say was this.

Certain players arent going to play for a club for any amount of money, as there league position wouldnt allow them to. Think of it when Viera was at Juve. Even though they are a massive club, he wasnt going to play in Serie B, so he left. But he may of decided to go to Spurs! (maybe), becasue of there Premier League status.

So would Ronaldo play for the Wharfies? I dont think so

you offer a player 5 billion per game, they would come if only for a year.

Despite what Forbes magazine just announced about the richest ckub in the world being man United when we all know QPR is worth approximately 54 Billion Dollars US with Mittel, Ecclestone and Briatori running the show. We could buy all the very best players.

Essien, Ronaldo, Kaka. Messi, they could all wear the hoops proudly......
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Essien for United, really he could've been almost a direct replacement for Keano, don't see why SAF did not sign him!

A Hargreaves that was as good as everyone made him out to be would be fantastic too....
