Only 12 other LFC players have made 500 games for the club

Carragher has spent over 10 years at the most successful club in England

to me, he is without a doubt the most underrated defender in Europe.

I wonder where he puts his league medals?

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

He's a Champion and a great role model.

He's hasn't got a corn row haircut and covers himself in bling like that gimp Rio, he doesn't tell the press he's fully committed to his wife then get caught in the back seat of his car with an 18 yr old like John Terry.

what does his hairstyle and fashion choices have to do with anything?

It has everything to do with being a good role model.

example
Britney Spears vs Hayley Westenra

Who do you want your 12 year old girl looking up to?

lol most successful club in England? dream on sunshine, until u have 9 premier league titles and a treble to your name, put that claim away in the dark corner of the locker
i don't really rate Carra that highly, Rio walks over him tbh, and whats the big deal with corn rows? so what? he's had a shaved head for a while now, how does his hair style affect his role model status? its his own look

You do realise football did exist in England prior to the 92/93 season?

liverpool have two trebles to their name

if you dont think liverpool are the most sucessfull team in england, look at this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_records_in_England#Most_successful_clubs_overall_.281888_-_present.29

so muso, i think its you who needs to spend some time in the dark corner of the locker, and get your facts right mate

i think what muso was saying is that while liverpool were good 20 years ago they're rubbish now and jamie carragher hasnt played for the most successful team in england he has played for the most successful club in England, theres a difference. his actual team has been average at best.

I agree, Liverpools history is undisputable but in the context of this thread there has been a lapse in understanding. Carragher is a top defender, 500 games for a club is a great feat no matter who you play for. I'd be shouting of roof tops too, but maybe not giving a history lesson.

What current players in the premiership have more appearances for one club?
Permalink Permalink

maybe thats because no one else wants him
Permalink Permalink

no, its because liverpool wont let him go, and he wont go

Nice words, Gooner (i think). I was pleasantly surprised ( if you were actually giving him a bit of credit).

He is a top player, and a f'kin nice bloke. And I'm not just saying that 'cos he's family (ish). My kids are proud to be related to him anyway. Although I don't know how much longer he'll be a "first name on the teamsheet" kind of player, he seems to be slowing down a bit lately.

Go on Jamie, hold on for the Premiership (next year, not this one)

Yes i think so. The reason i ask is whether people think he is a good player or not is beside the point. In these days of players moving from club to club making 500 appearances for one club is an achievement that should be applauded no matter what club it is.

He has a fair way to go to catch David O'Leary's 722 appearances for Arsenal
