Keegan off again?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Hmm. I'd heard a rumour about this about a week ago. Seems "The Messiah" has chucked his toys out of the cot again!

Anyone who supports that thug Joey Barton doesn't deserve to be a Premiership manager anyway.

Three for me, and two for them.

seems the rumours are being 'scotched ' no pun intended Jag as the day wears on,

anyway he can wait until after we've stuffed them at St Jame's , caretaker managers  have a bad habit of lifting team's performances

Chucked his toys out of his coot. Thats a bit over the top considering ashley has pushed him out of the club (buying and selling players that he disagrees with)

As a newcastle supporter this is disapointing. Keegan lifts this club in so many ways and would be a great disapointment for him to leave as a result of mike ashley and dennis wise. Hopefully the fans boycoot the hull city match

Best thing to do is hope ashley sells the club sooner rather than later.

Keegan is a bit like Steve Coppell, starts a job but never sticks around. Which in Coppell's case, surprised a lot of fans, in that he stayed at Reading after their relegation. Lonegunmen2008-09-05 22:13:09

Let's face it, this whole appointment was fatally flawed.  A) Going back to Newcastle was a desperate act for Keegan and B) it was always going to end like this once Dennis Wise was appointed as Director of football, a job he has absolutely no credentials for.

Once again, the sheer stupidity of those running football clubs makes you wonder how they ever became successful businessmen.

sh*t!, it always seems that clubs with a new or caretaker manager win the first game after the transition - hopefully the Geordies will fail to follow that trend tigers2008-09-05 20:40:02

Hard for the supportors as in the Toon Army to take in. A new manager to start again.

The Newcastle managers job has to be the most poisonous chalice of the entire football world. Great fans who deserve better but keep getting shafted almost every year.

FFS, Denise Wise as technical director of football? Like Joey Barton and Passive Resistance.

Sounds like Ashley's about to sell the club as well. They need some stability before they can improve. The problem will be getting a manager in when the transfer window has just closed, he can't bring in any of his own players. Also in the past Newcastle have tried to recruit really top tier managers, but they're not interested because Newcastle aren't in Europe.
