Be interesting who you can keep with a season in League 1. I'd say Healy will definately go.
Question is I guess will Wise stay?

expecting a major clear out to be honest! Its needed also. Good bye and good ridance to healy, derry, creswell. Rest of our players are all loan players!

Oh well its always fun at low div games, more fun than mid table in the prem (two sided competition)

Having teams like Leeds in the lower divisions for a season is a great boost to small clubs.  Firstly that brings more media attention, secondly the crowds both home and away receive a boost, and thirdly it is a thrill to play at a famous ground.  I still remember seasons with Villa and Middlesborough playing at Colchester in the lower divisions - Villa had a fantastic following and I expect Leeds will be the same.

It is harder to win promotion from any division than to stay in mid table in the division above, so there will be work to do.

I gave up my season ticket 4 weeks ago when I moved to Wellington. Supported leeds for many years, saw them win a couple of championships, seen them go through relegations and promotions, but this...

Was listeing to the match commentary on Saturday night, Sunday morning - even the ridiculous part where they brought the players back on to play the last 45 seconds!

So, Leeds in div 3... I just hope this is the end of the club's troubles, but somehow i think there's more to come..

Buffy I'm a Man u fan and as traditonal as the hatred between the clubs is I'd rather have them in the Prem - and not just cause of the 6 points!

Just to add to your misery got this from another site i visit.

Leeds into administration

Bad news to all Leeds fans and probably great news to those who are not. Leeds will be put into administration by the end of the week, it seems we have been asset stripped by Mr. Bates we do not own the ground, Thorpe arch nor the surrounding property around the ground. The only assets we have is the team(for what its worth) and the future ticket sales.

The reason for administration by the end of the week is to avoid -10 pts next season as the 10 pts would be taken from this seasons tally.

I stayed up to listen the interview with Leeds's chairman (Ken bates) and it isn't true that Leeds have gone into admin.. yet.

He is looking for investment, but says that despite relegation the manager did a good job because the club and playing staff were in disarray.

Anyway.. I've had my couple of days of mourning.. if we can fight off administration, I'll be back to listening to radio commentary at an ungodly hour as we push for a return to the championship next season.

Problem is that Wise and Bates go way back, so Wise will be there at the start of next season. In my view he should go, and they should appoint someone with a track record at that level. I'd go for Gary Johnson at Bristol City, did a great job at Yeovil and now looks to have taken the Robins back to the top half of English pro football.

Unlucky about dropping back, be interesting to see how long it will take them to climb back up, if they climb back up.

Leeds fans I believe are some of the most loyalest fans. When you see Leeds games, their stands are still full of support...I hope for the fans sake that Leeds is able to get it's finances in order, maybe look for someone who is able to give them some assistance in that Area and hopefully rise again.

I always found it interesting going to new grounds. Brunton park was interesting. Lots of good reasons for Leeds to be back in the premiership. Good luck to them.

Well i believe admin is the way forward!!! Just hope everything is accepted however dont believe a few creditors will let bates have it back as easy as what its sounding!!! The Leeds supporters club would be my pick to take over.

Come on Monday when some of the worthless sh*ts contracts are torn up!!! Roll on next season and roll on more glory, I HOPE!

There is still lots more news to come out.  I am told that things are less rosey than being painted.  Leeds must meet all football related debts to be able to reconstruct and I am told by friends in England that this will be very difficult with several transfer fees and player payments still outstanding. Not all the facts have been laid out with Bates and others hiding stuff.

Boston are being made by the FA to abide by the financial rules and so will Leeds have to.

Think player payments are over now and as for transfer fees, all our new players are loanees so no payments required there. Bates has almost got what he wants, he had the money to avoid leeds going into admin but why pay for previous debts. If everything goes through with creditors and tax man I would expect a slow re building but with the people behind leeds including supporters im sure we'll get back on the road to some credibility!

So adminstration is confirmed! I bet you'll only spend one season in that league though. Unfortunately by time you get back up to the Championship there'll be no chance on revenge to Ipswich as we'll be up in the premiership!!!
Guess who????

To think it was 6 years ago to the week when we were in the Champions League semi-finals and now this.
At least Bates did the decent thing and went into "Adminstration" this season so we didn't cop the -10pts at the begining of next season.

BBC Sport had a good article about the demise of Leeds on the their site. Well worth a read.

From the BBC re Jermaine Beckford "It was a timely response from the former Wealdstone-born striker, who was booed last weekend against Southampton for his reaction to being substituted."

Clearly he has been reborn. The new Messiah???

Yeah, St. Jermaine.

Surprised not to see a few more comments on LUFC this season.  They're 6 points and a game in hand ahead in L1, so they'll go into January with an eye on being in the Championship next year.
