Nah, no money needed.

Just kept telling him the Toffee scouts had their eyes on him and all it took was a few minutes for him to pop one in the back of his own net to try and save himself from getting picked up by a sh!te team...

Yep, great win, but pity the Toffs turned Pompey over and kept 4th.

Aurelios' goal was a cracker, Babels not bad either. Here's hoping it continues, it's going to be a good battle for that 4th spot...

game in hand, better goal diff, glitch over now (touch wood) - should be all fine in due course

The script has already been written.

Everton will beat us in the derby, harp on about being in the Champions League....until we win it again and they get shafted again!

Its the natural order of things you know.

Anyone know if our 2nd leg Champions League match is getting televised over here? I've scoured the online skywatch and can't see it.

Please tell me I'm both blind and wrong...

As a Liverpool fan isn't it obvious that you are at least blind in one eye

Try looking in next weeks listings. The Arsenal get to play at the San Siro vs AC Milan this week, you get a week off and get to play Inter next week. They dont think the pitch can handle being played on twice in two days.

that's ok - hopefully we'll extract some revenge v the Hammers midweek instead

then two more home games, plus the Euro outing to warm us up for a wee jaunt to OT at Easter

then the derby, then the Arse

an interesting period!!

You better watch out
You better not cry
You better not powt
i"m telling you why...
The HAMMERS are coming to town!!

It wouldn't be the first time we've beaten a top four side both home and away in recent seasons. (Or should I say top five side??)

certainly not taking 3 points for granted (but if forced to put a tenner on, it would be a fairly straightforward decision)

I think and hope the days of over-confidence are past at Anfield for at least a while, it's a case of grinding out the league wins and a bit of Rafa magic in Europe and this may still be a season to remember without a feeling of horror

Some websites (maybe walkon.com) were saying that they think the offer was rejected but they were still in negotiations. It would be fantastic to be owned by the worlds 5th richest man!! Although i have been paying out Chelski for the last few years! o well who cares if it goes through!!!!

True, it looks as if Gillett is still considering an offer from DIC.

I really don't like the fact that these f*ckwits are playing f*cking games with our club.  They're only interested in one thing, and it's not the club. The sooner the c0cks are gone, the better.

Oh dear, I brought him in thinking that he'd get 2 games this week, turns out the west-ham game was on last weeks points.

Its 4-nil by the way. Gerard.

No I think you'll find these points count this week, they just haven't been added on yet.

Captain Torres = 38 points!

4-0! When we are on we are unreal! Poor old Dirk Kuyt, whilst he tries hard he makes so many mistakes and looks out of his league. O well 3 points and heaps of confidence is what we need. I was thinking this morn as i watched the game. 3rd place maybe

While I admire your optimism I think you'd be better of concentrating on retaining 4th.

Another great result today. Need to be winning fixtures like this, and we totally dominated.

Stevie & Torres are combining nicely, and Skrtel is continuing to impress me as well.

Good effort all around...

hopefully we can keep the consistency up

and Weds morning should be interesting!

Another good win. Without Mascherano too, who has been a beast for us recently. Newcastle were really poor though. Gerrard and Torres are almost unstoppable of late.

Yep the lads look good, I'm still a little concerned that everything seems to come from Gerard and Torres, I'd like to see a few more contributing on the score sheet but as long as the wins keep coming I'm happy.

I see there was a report this morning that Crouch will go at the end of the season if Benitez keeps his job, I think it was from one of those gossip papers in England though.

I think Crouch has been on the out for a while now, and his release is kind of inevitable. I'm not convinced that the ol' beanpole is the best strike partner for Torres anyway, who will hopefully be sticking around for a few years to come.

re Gerrard and Torres - if they keep it up they might make Rafa moderate his rotation speed - at least as far as those two are concerned

if sides do try shut Gerrard down Im sure he'll have the nous to let the ball go early and Torres is always going to be  'marked' but how well is the question - he certainly seems able to slip past defenders these days

like you Fitz I'm happy that we are wining and how we do, and who provides the final ball is less of a concern

Also here is a link to sign a petition to get the yankees out of the club.
