Yeah. And I read he was apoligising for critisising GJ the other day  Daft twat.. I thought he was a nice guy who gave nice cuddles? How bizarre.

Yeah. Besides. How can they keep it on the floor when there is a gap the size of a small country between the midfield and Torres?
And he referred to Torres as a 'target' too. One of the most gifted strikers in the world and he is reduced to playing like Bobby Zamora.

Saying Dalglish chants don't help the club. you don't help the club, you prick.

Also, the "blip in form" comments. Read them?

Yeah mate, read it all. Just depressing.

Reading more and more about the player power at the club too. In particular around Carragher. Hadn't realised how matey mate he is with Purslow which explains everything about the Hodgson appointment and also his contract extension. I imagine Gerrard's in a similar boat too. They've probably got it quite easy under Uncle Roy, guaranteed start and an easy end to the career. Bring back a tough arse manager and things don't look quite so rosie for those too. I love them both, and convinced both have futures at the club - Gerrard playing and Carragher coaching the kids but it sounds like they need a good clip around the ears.

Hodgson just needs a boot up the bum and out the them Shankly Gates.

Yeah, exactly. Roy probably doesn't have the balls to drop Carra- despite the fact he's been on a pretty rapid decline for the last 12-18 months. Yip, and you can see where all the rumours of the 'English camp vs the Spanish camp' have come from. The Gerrard and Carra vs Torres and Reina. You can probably guess what side I'm on...

Carra has a real 'I'm bigger than the club' mentality at the moment and he is fking me off to no end. Like yesterday when he was having a go at Lucas. Look at your own game, son.

Yip. Hodgson for England.

Yep, I'm well in the Spanish player camp. I wear Gerrard's name on my back but the Liverpool crest is on my chest and that comes first. I want Gerrard to stay, Captain and lead the Club for the next couple of years but he needs to know he can't be the king pin. Gerrard as Captain and Pepe as his Sergent with the likes of Nando, Lucas, Agger, Pacheco is where we need to keep focus. Build the Club around those players with a visionary manager and we're back on the road again.

Stat of the day:

In the 08/09 league season, Rafa got 13 away wins.

Since 1980 in his 105 away league games with Bristol City, Blackburn, Fulham and Liverpool Hodgson has 13 wins.

^ Yup.

That's:

a) Why he's so effn delighted with an away win against one of England's best, Bolton.

b) Why he's so effn chuffed with an away draw as opposition are always elite when they're home.

c) Why he's so effn miffed when one of Europe's finest get sent packing from Stoke and the supporters go wild.

Not so sure about his defense for Roy but the rest is sound.

I get the feeling that Roy might be around for a little while yet sorry lads. NESV seem to be searching for a new boss but want the best person which is good in the long run but means no quick fix.

I thought that too then I figured they can't exactly come out say, "You know what? Roy really does suck ---, we'll meet up with him on Tuesday and fire him at 16:30GMT."

Basically they'll keep saying they're all working together until NESV give Roy the pink slip behind closed doors. Bit like what happened to Rafa. One minute he's here the next he ain't.

I just hope he ain't very soon.

I laughed at all the stuff about how he was saying he's a "38 to 55 games a season man" and judge him on that. Despite saying he wanted to be judged after 10 games.

Here we go. I'm absolutely certain they know the position the fans hold against Roy at the moment and these comments from Tom Werner go a long way to suggesting the same:

But in a meeting with supporter action group Kop Faithful, Werner revealed that NESV are fully aware of the intensity that surrounds the debate and will listen to fans and the local community before coming to any decision.

"We did meet with Joe Anderson, and the subject of ground share was mentioned," he said.

"We are certainly aware that there are strong feelings about this subject, and it is too soon to take any position at all. I will reiterate though that we are good listeners."

Let's be honest the talk around a ground share with the Bitters pales in comparison to the discussions being had about Roy. You can't tell me NESV don't know. I think we just have to have a little blind faith that they'll make the right decision. My feeling is if they want to move Roy on they'll want to ensure they have a replacement ready to go pretty much immediately. Wouldn't surprise me if they already have targets but hey but I'm just playing a guessing game like everyone else.

NESV are looking though which is a positive. They did speak to Pelligrini and decied agasinst him. The rumours have it that many prospective Managers are not too interested as they are working with their own clubs etc. if that is so, then we will have to wait until the summer I think

Yeah, agreed about that they want to make sure they make the right decisiion and are trying not to get in a 'panic' manager.

Pellegrini also decided to stay in Spain; with Malaga, who are fking stoked to have him. I'd have liked him, tbh, but there we go.

Yeah. that makes sense.. I dread to think of the damage that Roy could do with money! Rijkaard is available, no? Not that I'm 100% sold on him.

Dalglish til the summer then?

I've decided to offer both Roy and Comolli some advise. Wise man once said "don't tell me the problem give me the solution".

Roy, I've popped Fernando Llorente into my Fifa 11 squad and the kid's boss. I'll leave it to Comolli to decide if that correlates to real life.

Good read: http://www.thisisanfield.com/kopblog/2010/11/dead-man-walking/

It's quite ironic we've just spent the last 2-3 years fighting the off field fiasco, when we finally get that sorted it's the on field that's the real issue.

Yep, damn friendlies drive me nutz.

I think Jonjo will get the nod but Kuyt's replacement will be interesting. Babel, Pacheco, Jova all seem to be out of favour with Uncle Roy so we'll see which way his mood swings...

<insert sinking feeling>

Trying to work out who Roy will replace Kuyt with and it'll be either Cole or Meireles. If it's Meireles (who he's used a bit out wide now) then guess who will be in midfield. Our mate Poulsen.

Santa returns to Lapland in the early hours of Christmas morning having delivered presents to every house in the world. He slouches in his chair and turns to his head elf. "I'm getting sick of this. Every year, I put this stupid red outfit on. I do all the work and end up with fuck all".

The elf smiles: "Now you know how Steven Gerrard feels...."

Yeah, just play PACHECO PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE. Spearing or Shelvey? Hmmm, hopefully Raul moves into the middle.

I just want to see Pacheco play. Please. He played for the reserves the other day and shouldn't be anywhere near that team! Ah, its killing me.

Spearing out for 6 weeks now too.

So...

        Reina
Kelly Carra Skrtl Konch
    Poulson Meireles
Maxi              Babel/Jova

            Torres

I'd like to see Jonjo on but you get the feeling Roy will go into his shell with all these injuries and defend (see iHodge formation)

I read Kuyt is doing okay, and GJ could be fit for it. Cole isn't though.

Aha, yeah, as usual with Torres up front on his own and no midfielders in sight. Hopefully Meireles has a good game in the middle.

He has given Jonjo quite a bit of game time, tbf. Maybe a bit much chucking him in there in this game though.

Two words, Roy: Dani Pacheco.
