Man City Thread
It is believed that although Newcastle gave Pardew an 8 year contract, they only have to pay out 1 season of wages if they sack him. I wouldn't be surprised if City did something similar with Bobby Manc, and Man Utd have with Moyles.
ESPN is showing Man City v SuperSport United live at 12:55am Monday morning, replay at 9am.
A few years before my time but I vaguely recall this man because of his broken neck heroics

So we've won the title now right?
Navas was fantastic this morning. Definitely something City lacked in previous years

i was randomly youtubing last night, watching a few of the most famous last minute goals.
I saw the aguero title winner for the umpteenth time but saw something I'd never noticed before... when he takes that touch to go wide of the defender right before he shoots and scores, the defender clearly makes quite hard contact with his ankle, impeding his run. Aguero stumbles but forcefully stays on his feet and buries it, title won.
But imagine if he went down... I wonder if the ref would've had the balls to call the peno? Considering it was Mike Dean, I very much doubt it - he has a habit of making no decision in high pressure situations, I've seen it time and again. We'd probably still be talking about how Dean robbed them of the title.
Fergie probably would've retired on the back of that as well, one year earlier, meaning van persie would almost certainly have gone somewhere else when he left arsenal too. So many events would've changed on the back of that. I think City probably would've won the title the next season, what with ManU having a new manager and Mancini's side probably even hungrier after their epic fail.
Interesting to think about if nothing else.
Love the musings paulm! Sign of a true tragic (in entirely a good way).
The Sky aguero commentary is just phenomenal. Easily my favourite piece of commentary of all time and still gives me shivers.
is that the tyler one - "drink it in"?
Love that too
Na I'm thinking of the Peter Drury one. I could be wrong about whether it's Sky but it's definitely Drury.
AGUERO! STAGGERING! JUST STAGGERING!
Ah yes, not bad. That was the commentary we had on sky here wasn't it.
This is the one I was referring to though, Martin Tyler, love it how after the "AguerOOOOO" he says very few words, lets the crowd do the talking, just says "drink it in"...

If he is unhappy, he can come to Arsenal. We have given City enough players over the years so fair's fair.
Oh dear, City lose 2-0 to Dundee at Dens!
So fernandinho, wow, could anyone look so good for their club but sooooooo so bad for their country?
He was a walking defensive error... so many times rushing out to win the ball and getting skinned, or weak giveaways when in possession, I thought it must've been an evil twin or something...
Good luck for Sunday.
Thanks
Thanks
LOL You blokes will need more than luck.
Some goals perhaps?
What are you doing on a Manchester City thread wishing them luck before a game anyway?

He probably stumbled into the wrong thread by accident.
Apart from Dale, where are all the City fans. On that performance today, Chelsea are the only team that will compete for the title. The rest are miles away.
Is that based on City destroying Liverpool or a different match?
Everyone said the same last season.
There are always surprises.
No happy that City lost to N/Utd this morning. Two losses in a row-- we could be on the end of a hiding on the weekend.
Amazing what a difference 2 years makes -now sitting 3rd, but a great step forward for UEFA Champions League qualification top of the group and Semis for the league cup - still looking for our best team and covering 6-12 injuries each week

Leroy Sané signs for Man City. The 20-year-old German winger signs from Schalke where he made 57 appearances and scored 13 goals. Fantastic signing for City! He's so young and got so much talent.
Rumour going around is that Hart is getting dropped first match (yes, already). Willy Caballero to start.
Guardiola has opted to pick Willy Caballero for the Premier League opener with Sunderland. [@pjoyceexpress]

There should be a Chelsea one somewhere too.
Manchester City break three anti-doping rules in the five months after Pep Guardiola's appointment as boss
Looks like Manchester City is the bookies' favorite to claim the title for the 2017-2018 season of English premier league. You guys agree?
where are all the trolls once the football has started?
