I know Liverpool coming back from 3 - 0 down in a European final takes some beating - but possibly that Man U performance this morning was the best I can recall any side playing ever. Some of the goals were amazing and Ronaldo showed his brilliance.

They were 2 - 1 down going into the game and simply demolished Roma. As the commentators said (who are usually just plain annoying) "When in Manchester, don't do as the Romans do".

All English final????

I'd rather Man Ure make it instead of Bayern or f**king AC Milan.

Three for me, and two for them.

Wouldn't it be awful if Man U and Chelsea played FA Cup final, Premiership decider and Champions League final all within the space of a few days.  Maybe, if it happens, they should just play one game for the lot!

Ain't gonna happen tho'. Liverpool for Champions League!!!

You can't compare Liverpool and United, Roma rolled over after ten minutes, Liverpool came back from the dead.

As a display of attacking football though, unbeatable.  It's just disappointing that Man U or Chelski have to win SOMETHING this year...

I'm a Man Utd fan, have been all my life (and before anyone starts suggesting I'm "just another fan who's never been to Old Trafford") I have been to see them play 3 times at the Theatre of Dreams. I was so angry after the Italian scum beat our fans for no reason while taking no action with the Romas fans, but was optimistic with the 2-1 loss. But I watched the game this morning and was nearly in tears! The greatest performance I have ever seen United give. I just makes sense to say "You beat our fans for no reason, we humiliate you at the Theatre of Dream!"

AN AWESOME PERFORMANCE BOYS!

Every team will faulter in their domestic league. What irritates me is now the news keeps saying that Chelsea are 3pts behind Man U, but they fail to mention we have a game in hand. So presuming we wein that, its back to a 6pt lead! Why do you assume Man Utd are "dirty"?! We have earnt every inch of our success. No body has bought us it. True, we were bought out by Yanks a couple years ago, but we're more in debt because of that, they're not sugar daddies like Chelski have. We have had some of the best players in the world in our time: Duncan Edwards, both Chrlton bros, Georgie Best, Mark Hughes, Peter Schimeichel, Eric Cantona, David Beckham, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo. This was ALL EARNT!! So if you wana have a go at a team that has "bought" success, aim at Chelski.

Enuff United bashing - it's just jealousy - Buffy want to talk about losing your record at the Emirates to the Chelski feeder club? Or 4 - 1 to the Scousers the week before? Thought not - anyway how are the Arse getting on in Europe? Oh that's right Arsene has booked them a Contiki - the only way you'll get to se Europe before you play in the Euro Vase next season.

Rooney earnt? 30mil. Man U 90's success came on the back of clever marketing, cash injection from being listed as a PLC (which lead to the Glazers taking over). Yes they had a decent youth team that came into the first team, but nothing is done without money, and winning titles takes lots.

Man U market the hell out of their club, selling anything with a Man U logo, selling large portions of seating to rich corporates. And picking up the glory hunting "fans". also they are and were damn hard to beat and dominated, and have ___ Alex as boss, that enough to dislike them.

I did check this as I thought it was a bit harsh on Liverpool as they are usually one of the fairest teams in the league and often win the fair play trophy AND I was right.

http://www.sportinglife.com/football/premiership/stats/booking.html

So in conclusion the mancs are officially dirtier than Liverpool.

I suggest checking your facts before you go telling others to check theirs. Ho Ho Ho.

Doubt it. And even if we are we can handle it for one season. After all, it would be a great stepping stone for our kids. And we'd probably win it.

Yeah back in the days when it was called the Fairs Cup we won it.

And hey, maybe competing and possibly winning the UEFA Cup next season would be a long-term blessing in disguise. After all, we could do a Porto and win the UEFA Cup and CL in consecutive seasons.

Then again, we will probably finish 4th.

Three for me, and two for them.

The Champs League is understandably the one to be in and (hopefully) win but there is no shame in winning the UEFA Cup.  The new competition formats mean there are some great sides in both competitions.

Liverpool won it a few years back and won some big names in doing so, Olympiakos, Roma, Porto & Barcelona!!!

I doubt Arsenal will lose 4th spot so fully expect them to be in CL next term.

What planet are you on? If you can't admire the way Man U played today then you don't like football I'd suggest.

I am on planet earth - if you don't even know the answer to a simple question like that, then that explains the confusion my comments about the filthy mancs have made.

So being a kind soul I'll just clear things up for you.

1.  I didn't watch the match...so how can I admire something I didn't see?

2.  I didn't watch the match...because I don't like the mancs.  It's simple really, most people will probably find that reasonably easy to understand.

3.  I  'can'  admire the way they (the filthy mancs) played today - I just choose not too.

4. Your suggestion that I don't like football is lunacy.  Why would I be on a football forum if I didn't like footy?

Fan rivalry is an intrinsic part of football.  The world (that round place where you live Zephyr!) would be a much duller place without it.

I don't particularly like Aresenal as a club but I can admire what they did oveer the last few years and admire that they have played a nice style of football in recent years. I can tell that Teirry Henry is one of the best strikers in the business. Sure I don't want them to win when they're playing teams I like, but unfortunately Port Vale don't get to play them that often.

I can watch any Premiership team and I watch a few Spanish games as well. Suggesting you wouldn't watch a team because of "fan rivalry" says something about you, not about me.

And your are spot on it does say something about me... I HATE THE MANCS!
