Agree with you on goal d, not sure about the last part. They havent had any hugely challenging matches yet- Tottenham arguably (but they are playing hideous footy), Manchester City possibly (but still, its only Man City) and maybe Blackburn- who they drew with. I'll make up my mind as to whether or not they can run away with it after they play some of the other big three.

Citeh are 2nd, the Yids are still a huge derby match and Blackburn at Ewood is always quite tough.

You could argue the same for Man Yoo with the only exception being Chelski. Scraping a win against a hideous Tottenham at home and the same with another relegation candidate Sunderland.

Don't get me wrong, i still think Man Yoo will be there at the end of the year but you have to acknowledge that Arsenal will be challenging them down to the wire the way they are playing at the moment. Although i can just see you all writing us off after our first loss.

Three for me, and two for them.

Also, last season we had the best record against the top four - 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss.

lol i have faith in Arsenal this year, theres something about a Fabregas who's free to play how he wants that scares me as a man u fan. As long as the defence stays good they'll be good.

i'm picking it to be between Man U and Arsenal. Liverpool will be around but probably just a few points to far behind, Manchester City quite possibly top 4. Chelsea even at this early stage are too far behind, especially when they don't even look like getting on a run to make up some of the difference.

I think Arsenal have some really talented players in their squad but they are young, I can see them falling off the pace in the New Year when it gets busy and the African Nations Cup starts. 4-0 vs Wigan this morning...brilliant result!! The team adapted to injuries well.  They defended well and finally started creating some chances. I was really impressed with Anderson's play in the second half. He has a good array of passing and gets the challenges in when he needs to. I can see him offering something different on attack from midfield for United which can only be good.

What did everyone think of Anderson's play?? He came with a big reputation, but seemed to struggle to start with. Against Wigan he seemed to finally get going. I think he will be a squad player though for the forseeable future with Scholes, Hargreaves and Carrick in the middle (when fit).

just a quick query as i havent really taken much interest to the nani and Anderson situations, is it possible for nani to play on the same pitch together with Ronaldo? would it happen?

Your basing that off 3 games?
He was impressive in the Wigan game to me cause he worked hard got into the game. I know that some Porto fans have called him the best natural talent to come from Porto. Anderson wasn't expected to get alot of game time this year but he is being forced to obviously cause of injuries.

Also I think Nani will be the future Left sided midfielder. Him and Ronaldo on the wings is going to be a dangerous pair.

Nani seems to be the same style of player as Ronaldo, but he doesn't seem to have the same explosiveness to his game as Ronaldo. How often do you see Ronaldo make space or opportunities just through his extra pace...Nani doesn't seem to have that. However he seems quite talented and with guys like Fletcher and Eagles still on the fringes as well United seem to have some good young wide players at the moment. I think Giggs will still be around for another year or 2 yet though.

i think anderson played very well in the game against wigan, the last few he played wasnt so impressive! altough at 19 playing in a new league with a new team i  think he obviously needs a few more games before passing judgement!

God yeah, if Rooney and Tevez can make this regular they are going to be a lethal prospect. Great game.

Yes Rooney and Tevez are starting to click and will provide a strong striking combination for SAF in years to come.

Should be a great game today will be interesteing to see if rooney and tevez both start or if sir alex goes for a 3 CM conbination

i dont think he had a choice in teh end as he is quickly running out of CM. With Ohea playing at the back yesterday i guess that had to play Tevez. I have to admit i wasnt full of confidence when i saw that Fletcher and Anderson were named in MID, i dont think we have seen enough of Anderson to really judge him yet  but there is definately soemthing there and Fletcher has come on in leaps and bounds since the back end of last season and its been a shame hat hes been out injured.

Hi,

Anyone know of (a link to) or got a photo of Man Utd squad with 20 players (people). My wife wants to do the photo shop thing, or at least that's what she's telling me.

Great win for United overnight, a 4-1 thrashing of Middlesbrough. Nani, Rooney and two for Tevez were the goal scorers which sees United go top.

Ya boys just pulled through Arsenal- on top with goal difference- not for much longer- next week at emirates is going to be huge! Well worth getting up for.

I have a feeling the match will go a little like the DVD I am currently watching- 2000 goals under Sir Alex. Currently it is Man Utd 847, opposition (including Arsenal) 0.

We beat you twice last season and I see little to suggest we won't beat you on the weekend.

Should be a cracking match.

It will be a cracker. Going to be very high intensity for the entire match. I think our speed will be a factor in the game, especially in the midfield. Hope our defense keeps up with this the pairing of rooney and tevez (which i must admit is looking nice). Although our weakness in the air shouldnt be exploited this time.  Cant wait!
