And yes, that joke is gold.

Honest question: was that final even more one sided than in 2009?

Barca were awesome when attacking in that game, which they weren't really against arsenal, but the thing that surprised me was their pressing game - it wasn't as intense as normal and united certainly didn't get the on-the-ball pressure that we got when we played them, yet you STILL couldn't keep the thing... although hardly surprising when you play a 4-4-2 with a midfield containing one guy who hardly moves, and another who's 37... ManU only looked half-decent while rooney was dropping back and effectively playing as a midfielder. As soon as he moved higher and lost a bit of energy it was one-way traffic.

epic fergie game-plan failure which really isn't like him... i expected and hoped for more. I really didn't want either side to win but I did hope for a closer game...

classic comparison heard on Radio sport yesterday, a caller compared Man U to his neghbour painting his fence whereas Barca were basically Michealangelo.

Well Man Utd are the best fence painters in England (and considering 3 CL finals in 4 years - most of Europe).

Overall a good season. Semi's of the FA Cup, League winners and runners up in the CL.

Important off-season, more Hernandez than Bebe please.

Reports have emerged that Barcelona fans snuck into Old Trafford last night.

They unfurled a '19 times' banner in reference to the amount of times Man United touched the ball in the champions league final.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "That is one of the most stupid questions I have ever heard... Mascherano." - Ferguson gives short shrift to the question of which single Barca player he would sign given a blank cheque. Guess it would be Messi then.

That's actually quite brilliant.

Obviously hate losing, but wow, Barca were brilliant. Usually the tele would well and truly be turned off at the final whistle- but they are that good I felt compelled to watch the presentation. Hell of a team.

De Gea seems all but done, so I think that is a good signing.

Really looking forward to see who we sign. Have a good positive feeling with what looks like some decent talent coming through the clubs youth ranks mixed with some proven talent brought it.

Michael Owen signs one year extension. Am happy with that. He will play the cup games, CL games and a handful of Prem games. Dependable player who will give his all, will never complain as he knows his situation and is happy with it, and will hopefully score a few more important goals.

Hopefully on hardly any $

Probably wants to get 10 appearances in the league and pick up another league winners medal.

Ashley Young and Phil Jones seemingly set to sign... one of England's best along with one of their brightest talents.

Good start, but that central midfielder is going to be the key signing. Who will it be?

Brown, O'Shea, and Gibson possibly joining Sunderland. Not convinced O'Shea isn't worth keeping round, perhaps more than Jonny Evans (if we sign Jones to go with Smalling). More of a versatile option, but never mind.

Good signing. Once Vidic leaves eventually, we will have Englands first choice centre back pairing. Even sweeter to know that he talked to Liverpool, Arsenal, and Spurs before us and told them all he was waiting for United.

Pretty stupid arena (twitter) to prove their point though. $10 says our politicians on twitter use even less "advanced" words.

Rooney - Phil jones is a good young English player. 1 of the toughest defenders I played against last season. Can play midfield to

I'm guessing Rooney has forgotten the 7-1 thrashing of Rovers, the largest defeat of the entire season, in which both Rooney and Jones played.

You're right, it's quite possible that Jones' amazing man-marking on Rooney provided the space for Berbatov to score five goals in one match.

The guy is only a kid and of course no Arse player had a poor game this year. If AF thinks that he is worth it I'm sure he will make a good player.
After all his success with young players is well known.
Jones is also an England U21 player.

good quote that one (maybe not for us gooners though )

Although it does remind me of patrick vieira's classic line after leaving arsenal for juventus "I want to win the champions league"

Very next season, knocked out by arsenal and relegated from Serie A... one can only hope for a repeat :)
