there are some huge games in the UK this weekend:

* To win the premiership

Man Utd vs West Ham - can the hammers fcuk up Utd from winning the title......again?
Noocastle vs Chelsea - the barcodes are unbeaten in a few now, and no pushover for Chelsea for whom the pressure will be on if Utd have already won.

* Race for 5th

Everton have to get something at Arsenal, as Villa would be favourites to take 6 points from their remaining 2 games.

* Relegation

Fulham vs Birmingham - Fulham would pretty much be confirmed as down if they don't win
Reading vs Spurs - Spurs have nothing to play for, but could still be too good for a desperate Reading team
Bolton vs Sunderland - Bolton go to Stamford Bridge on the last day of the season, so need to win here.

* Promotion to the Premiership (final league games of the season)

Stoke vs Leicester - Stoke get a point and they are up
Ipswich vs Hull - Hull need to win and hope Stoke lose to get automatic promotion.  Ipswich need to win and hope Palace lose and Wolves draw to make the play-offs
Crystal Palace vs Burnley - a draw should be enough for Palace, if Wolves don't win and Ipswich don't win by more than 3.  Therefore, Palace need to win.

Whew.  My picks:

United win
Chelsea draw
Everton draw
Villa win
Fulham win
Reading lose
Bolton lose
Stoke draw
Hull win
Palace draw

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite

logic (and the redoubtable Frankie Mac) suggests that your lot will go up in second place Corkster

but football isn't always logical - a big night/morning coming up

I don't think there's any logic in footie, I'm kinda of looking forward to it all being over and done with.  Not sleeping well, can't concentrate at work and I have a stomach full of knots.  Like with the mighty Phoenix, Stoke's last 10 minutes are the worse.

Yep Corkster, I'm surprised how nervous I've been over the last few weeks, this is more stressfull than the previous two promotion runs this decade (this could be the end of a lifetime of waiting!!)

and even though it's a different kind of freaky it feels as almost as 'bad' as the relegation battles of the last two seasons

i alternate between getting excited and telling myself not to get my hopes up

tell you what (as your 'symptoms' sound worse than mine) ... you can have automatic as long as we go up from the play-offs (glad we've got that all sorted then )

both games are on sky in England so might be able to see them off the net

Huge games indeed.

To be honest, I know there's not really a hope in hell, but i had a dream the night before last that ManU/Chelsea both collapsed in their last two and Arsenal took the title.

I hadn't even considered the possibility previously, but since the dream it's been on my mind constantly. This weekend sees ManU playing their bogey team, and Chelsea at an in-form Newcastle. Though the reality of arsenal winning the title is virtually impossible, I can seriously see it going to the last day. That in itself is exciting enough really...

Heh I've been thinking the same Paul. Especially now that both teams are in the CL final.

Arsenal: 6 points from Everton (h) and Sunderland (a)
Chelsea: 2 points from Newcastle (a) and Bolton (h)
Man U: 1 point from West Ham (h) and Wigan (a)

Is that too much to ask for?

QPR to beat WBA at our place, Joke sh*tty to lose and Hull to get automatic promotion because they and WBA have better goal differences than Joke sh*tty.

Big L,  I certainly agree with the first part of your prediction, QPR beating WBA.  After that I get too excited and carried away to read anymore and I start singing, in a repetitive manner, (to myself) "We're going to win the league"

Now even less work getting done.

Nah. While you're at it ask for the lotto numbers this weekend too.

I almost feel sorry for Wolves, missed out by 1 goal. Well done WBA - against a 10 man QPR. I hear though that your second goal was an excellent long range effort.

If Wigan get a draw and Chelski win against Bolton, and then Chelski win in Moscow, what does that leave Manure with??

But if Man U beat Wigan and win in Moscow, what does that leave Chelsea with? Other than a very expensive second best team (Prem League, League Cup and Champions League).

Well there was some massive drama/glory in League One over the weekend, the two key fixtures were:

Nottingham Forest vs Yeovil
Doncaster vs Cheltenham

Now Doncaster were second on the table with Forest just one point behind.  Yeovil are mid table and Cheltenham are fighting for survival at the bottom.  Forest and Doncaster need to win for automatic promotion, while Cheltenham needs to win to be guaranteed to stay in L1.

Both games were played simultaneously.

At half time the scores were Forest 3-1 Yeovil and Cheltenham 1-0 Doncaster.  Forest held on after a 78th minute goal by Yeovil to win their game, and both teams scored once in the second half at the other game meaning Cheltenham upset Doncaster and secured their spot in the L1 for another season.  Doncaster still have a chance to move up but now have to survive playoffs to make it.

GO THE FOREST!!!
