Hello all,

I am a season ticket holder over here in the UK at Fulham FC. But I am coming to New Zealand in 3 weeks time for about 10 months work so shall be coming to watch your team every week.

When does your season start? Where is the best part of the ground to go? I want the same sorta atmosphere as we have in England? is this possible? basically plenty of drinking, singing, dancing, banter with away fans blah blah blah.

Any help would be much appricated.

P.s Fulham FC are doing a pre season tour against Melbourne Victory, Perth and Brisbane. So if any one fancies it in July am flying to Melbourne to see Fulham spank the living daylights out of Melbourne :)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also could I buy a season ticket? How would I go about this and how much am i looking at?

Cheers guys

Sunshine,

Have a nosey at the FAQ's up above, answers some of your questions.  Also, check the club website for season ticket details.  Link in the top right corner (where the Phoenix logo is).

Hello,

Thx, I found price on the Phoniex site. They go on sale to new members the day I arrive in Wellingotn which is cool.

I dont really understand the difference between Gold and Silver? are these sections?

I hear the best atmosphere is the section between isle 21 and 22 (According to Wiki) so what would i apply for for this section?

Could not find the FAQ's on this site

I'll just answer these questions anyway..

1. 9th august is nix's first game.
2. Yellow fever part. Aisles 21 and 22.
3. Its quite different, but it is the closest you will get and is the best atmosphere in terms of actually getting involved in the game in the country.
4. Drinking - yes - Singing - yes Dancing - yes
5. Away fans can be few and far between (due to distances), but the ones that do make it generally get friendly banter.
6. http://www.yellowfever.co.nz/forum/new_reply_form.asp?M=Q&PID=340406&PN=1&TR=2

A lot cheaper than fulham

I noticed that the FAQ's still have the location of the club shop, which is no longer in the stated place.  Does anyone know if the shop is going to find a new permanent home?

Haha yeah true! Well our season is just finishing next week and my season ticket was 289 ($700) which is actually VERY cheap for the premiership, plus our season has 19 home games.

Thanks for your answers, have emailed the club about a season ticket in that area!

I think the difference in the sections.  Gold is on the halfway line (approx isles 26-29), silver the rest of the ground.  I have never bought a gold ticket, and don't know anyone who has.  The fever zone is outside of the gold zone.

Just make sure you nominate that you want to be in the fever zone (aisles 21 & 22). I'm gathering that's where you want to be, and otherwise you may end up with a ticket in aisle 32 down the other end of the ground.

Agreed. Nothing against Fulham, but what better souvenir of your time over here than a Phoenix kit, or even a Retro Ricki?

Welcome aboard, hope you enjoy your time among the Fever

Mr FFC.....

Welcome to Yellow Fever, welcome to Welli and welcome to the Nix family.

I could be your chaperone to the first few games.......but it could cost you a few pre-match pints........I always make sure I have a sh*t time at games.....

Tamara is a legend in the club office so if she is sorting your tickets out then you're off to a good start.

Yeah he played a few times, though he was almost for sure never going to make the team when Roh Hodgson came in as manager. I suppose our best player from the Oz/Nz side of the world is Mark Schwarzer, played every game this season after transfering from Middlesboro, which was good for him since we finshed 7th and will play in European cup next year and Middleboro got relegated to the leage below :)

He only played a handful of games, he looked like he was out of his depth in his first game which was against LIverpool.

Jumping the gun a bit there aren't you? There's still a game to go.. Spurs can still catch you for 7th and there's an outside chance boro could survive...

Think you mean Europa League there...

Well maybe Jumping the gun a little bit wibblebutt but can't see us losing to Everton at home. A draw is good enough, but remember Spurs need to beat Liverpool away from home!!!!! not an easy task!

Boro are well and truely in the poo! no chance for them, just hope Newcastle follow them down into the Chumpionship.

Yes it is the Europa league now, but thats the gayess name ever! actually it is now the gayess competition since it takes 19 games to win it ;) bring back the old fashion UEFA cup i say

No arguments from me there. Was just pointing out the factual error since I'm a petty man.

Although to be honest, I think qualifying for the Europa League is probably not the best thing for clubs the size of Fulham (with smallish squads, and with sights firmly on ensuring survival in the Premiership), especially since you're unlikely to play against really big name clubs. But good on you for finishing as high as you'll finish.

Yeah i had a look on UEFA site to see who is in so far with us and is:

Third qualifying round teams so far
PSV Eindhoven
Athletic Bilbao
IFK Gteborg
Vlerenga
Club Brugge Fredrikstad
Krylia Sovetov Samara
Hajduk Split

but loads more to go yet to enter qualifying rounds, then there is obviously all the runners up and 3rd,4th etc around europe, plus drop out from the champions league groups etc

Knowing our luck we will get PSV in qualifying and get spanked

The drop-outs from Champions League groups come into the last 32 of Europa League (the first 'proper' knockout round after the group stages) so you probably don't need to worry about them for now.

personally i think once you are out of the Chumps league you should stay out, by letting them drop into the Europa league it only devalues it more and more.

Welcome FFC.
There is a further kiwi connection with Fulham.
Chris James is a kiwi and he was in your reserve team a year back I think, dont think he got into the premiership team - do you know if he's still at Fulham.
Also - have you heard of Chris Nevin? he coached the know defunct Knights (auckland team that played in Aussie league & were horrible)  - apparently he had on his CV that he coached Fulham - reserve team or something - anyway he got axed midway into the season as he was pants - maybe he just exagerated his cv a tad?

Enjoy supporting the nix and well done to Fulham this year.

2nd year - 5 away fans
3rd year - At least 3.
