I didn't know she liked the older man. There goes my chance then :(

Word this end is that he was fed up with the Milner situation (he wanted to keep him) and it looks as though Ashley Young is off to Tottenham too. He was apparently not going to be able to re-invest anywhere near what they will get for the two players (if the rumours are true).

It will be 'LOL' if they don't get a british manager since they wank on about being a pure english club.

There's your lol then.

"I confidently predict Gerard Houllier's unlikely return to the Premier League will coincide with Aston Villa teetering off the map as a credible, top six Premier League club...After all, this is the man who is joining Villa from an overwhelmingly successful stint as technical director at French Football Federation. He can clearly walk out of there with his head held high, comfy in the knowledge of a job well done."

Contesting Europa League places is generally preferable to skirting relegation.  YMMV.

i dont want europa, if we cant get 4th i'd rather have 6th, you dont seem to get that... i was more referring to them being your rival

like how i often feel physically sick when i realise this is not a nightmare, and that spurs actually are looking likely to finish above us

In the table you linked to, Arsenal was 16th.  Trust me, relegation is much worse than being edged by one's rivals.  (Also, when I look at it, reality is my security blanket. )

Regarding the real results - you can sort out 5th with Chelsea.

That's something we haven't experienced since 1913 so consider yourself trusted!

Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov has been diagnosed with acute leukaemia, the Premier League club have announced.

The condition was diagnosed following tests after the Bulgaria international, 32, developed a fever following last Saturday's defeat to Arsenal.
