I know there are some Villa fans out there. Hey to you all.

A first up loss to Liverpool after what i must say was a good strike.

The next game is against Newcastle United.

I think we might finish mid-table again, hurts to say it.

But all i am waiting for is these two dates:

Saturday November the 10th of 2007  - AWAY

Saturday April the 19th of 2008  -  HOME

UP THE VILLA!!

Yeah I get the same feeling, maybe up a few notches, but in my opinion unlikely to reach the heights predicted by some. We'd need a good run of form with no injuries.

Been an odd summer, particularly with all the high expectations.

Yeah, its a shame we didnt sign anyone big to atract attention to the club and also help us gain our former glory. I just hope we can have a respectable finish.

Aston Villa (2) v. (1) Fulham

First win of the season. Ole!

Go Villa.

Whenever I'm bored at work and need cheering up I look at that old filmclip of Olaf Mellberg throwing the ball in from the touchline into his own goal.  Priceless!

haha yeah, we've had our share of them.

I wonder if this season will be more of a 'steady restructuring' than we thought.

Damn I wish we had a right back tho.

Fork yeah! 2-0 over Chelsea at home, and two Villa fans on the scoresheet. Doesn't get much  better than that!

Rumour in The Guardian's "Fiver" daily digest email yesterday is that we are looking at buying Obefami Martins from the barcodes.  Probably b*llocks, but we certainly need some firepower.  He'd do for me (or possibly Defoe).  Still, I guess it's all academic until January anyway.

I thought we played we'll overall . Just lacked the finish . Maybe Harewood can do better when he's fit again.

Exciting game, we were lucky with the last goal, Defoe was offside

Ahh.
I'm so frustrated.
Villa were winning 4-1!
And they blew it.
But they really should've won 4-3.
Tottenham's last goal was offside.

unlucky guys, good game. gabby is quality i think. defoe was offside, spurs suck - your still in a good position, waste the hammers this week!

its good fun for me, i live in a flat with 3 other guys - a spur, villan and a scouser. good laughs, especially at tottenhams expense. you guys would have been in a hot position if you had won. up around liverpool. and even better to have put the spurs lower. all good tho. still a whole season to do that

Spurs still languishing in 18th. Bad luck with the offside call. How bad is Robinson?

I think Scott Carson should be England keeper.
But he may be a bit young.

Can't help but think about where we'd be on the ladder if we'd not let in 3 goals last week.

*sigh*

One thing these days is that, despite the ups and downs in form (how very Villa), you kind of have the thought that we could take down the big boys on our day (eg Chelsea). A while ago I'd be looking at this sort of match, hoping that we keep the damage to 1 or 2 goals.

Now it's entirely possible we win, or on the other hand lose by 4.

keeps it interesting I guess.
