Villa are currently fighting off administration. Put all their eggs in one basket to obtain promotion but came up short and now have serious cash flow problems.
Seems to happen a bit with teams in the championship. They spend heavily trying to get into the EPL, fall short and then can end up dropping all the way down the divisions and going into administration
