Ch*lski next weekend and Sp*rs the weekend after that.Cant wait for Cashley C*nt to return to Emirates and have to be subbed off after 15 mins as he cant handle the crowd. That is,if he makes it into the ground....Would love nothing more than Cesc to give him one then put 3 past the Russians.

Shocker. Glad I never got up for that.
I thought it was at the Emirates?
My bad!
That makes it slightly better.
Any ideas for possible Gooner viewings for those 2 games? Both
are on a Sunday morning I think...
Looks like we will have a fully fit squad for those games (barring
no more injuries over the next 2 weeks) with RVP and the rest
back into it.Fullt fit squad over the busy next month, cant
wait
i think wenger should give bendtner a start ahead of eduardo tonight against boro and bring on theo later into the game. Theo has had a really good impact off the bench so far this season in games like bolton and sunderland.
Who else is brave enough to skip sleep and watch this in the wee
hours of tomorrow morning?
Im up at atm no sleep to watch this game, should be an easy
vicotry...hope bendtner gets a start for once eduardo has been
average for arsenal this season
Shocker. Glad I never got up for that.
I can now say i have seen the worst performance of our season by
far. We lost that game, and it wasn't as if Borough were
having a super game, we were just utterly crap. I am convinced
Gilberto has passed his use by date. So much of our midfield play
was squandered by our players rushing passes. Usually we
hurry our passes but it seems as is we are too afraid to take a
tackle. The number of mistakes we made under mediocre pressure was
pathetic. I was particularly disappointed with Adebayour this
morning. He didn't make enough runs behind the Borough line, which
was quite high. He seemed tired from the start and didn't seem
willing to make a team effort, i think being the league goal scorer
has gone to his head. I hope we put our Carling cup squad out for
the CL game with Hleb, Cesc & Flamini making appearances from
the bench to freshen them up for Chelski game. UberGunner2007-12-10

I did, and we were awful.
Could see it a mile off tbh, especially after the Newcastle
game given that we wouldn't have any of our key players back i
could just see this being tough and so it proved. We never actually
looked like winning that game, and if im brutally honest didn't
even really deserve that consolation goal even though it was well
worked and well taken.
Chelsea next week, and unless players such as Fabregas, Hleb
and Flamini come back we will struggle. Didn't list RvP cause i'm
not sure when he is actually coming back but bloody hell we need
him!!
Yes I'm pretty concerned about next weekend now. I suspect Man U,
with their current form, will take Liverpool meaning we will need
all 3 to remain at the top.

All good, you gave me a little scare for a second there that's all.
Ohh man i stayed up to watch the game, it was so poor. I agree with
comments about adebayor he had one of "those" games where
everything he does doesn't come off, he had one chance where his
touch meant he lost a chance to score...positive maybe was
walcott's performance off the bench, be nice to see if he could
produce that over 90 mins
At least the midweek game is at home to the CL group whipping
boys. Maybe 4 or more goals against these guys could lift the
momentum up a notch again. We have a habit of hanging our
heads for a long time after performances like that and in the past
it has taken us a while to bounce back.
not the most positive diagnosis of the injury list given on
www.arsenal.com
Hleb and Cesc both doubtful, RvP might be in the squad (but
will be a bit off the mark i'd say)
and Flamini should be back. Although, Arsene might be saying
this to soften up Ch*lsea and bring them out at the last minute. Or
im just dreaming.
I think your right about Gilberto, Uber. He seems to be slow
and uninterested. gave away alot of ball and put heaps of pressure
on our defence.
... So, with the above players most likely out, who do we want
in the midfield? I'd say Flamini and Diarra/Denilson. Denilson
would be great for some attack minded play, im just worried he'd
get well bullied. (although diarra prob would too)
thoughts?
I'm very glad Flamini will be back.
likewise, his defence has been tops this year! cant wait for the
game!
I'd like rosicky to play in the middle like he does for country,
and obviously have flamini in the middle too...
Who would you play on the left? Eduardo and Walcott both look a bit
out of their depth on the left, imo.
i think rosicky would be great there, but yeah, the left side of
the field becomes a problem. testing different options will have to
wait for a while i'd say. bring carlos vela back in jan and drop
him in there!
can't merida play left midfield? maybe he could be an option? I
just reakon without hleb or Fabregas the centre of midfield lacks
thats spark that maybe rosicky could bring if he played in the
middle nikkagee2007-12-11 13:16:31
Gilberto was a passenger against Middlesborough.
I wanna see Walcott get a start, I reckon his pace could give
their backline problems.
Van Persie is back for the Steaua game so will be fit for the
chelsea one aswell.
Wenger is also starting Lehmann aparently, wonder how that'll
go?
Looking ahead to the next round of the CL it looks as though we'll
probably draw one of:
Real Madrid
Porto
AC MIlan
Barca
Inter
Real Madrid
Porto
AC MIlan
Barca
Inter
Fingers crossed we draw Porto!
And we should buy Quaresma in the transfer window if we do,
he's easily their best player
Of course, I still hope that Sevilla do not win and we do so that
we draw second tier teams. But I'm not so sure that will happen.
Arsenal2007-12-12 10:46:57
not so likely, but still a chance. they have to go to prague which
could work out ok for us. maybe.
It would be crucial if Sevilla can't get a win over there and we
win.
Playing a team like Celtic or Olympiacos in the next
round is very appealling
I definitely don't think it's crucial. As Arsene rightly says, look
how well we did against PSV last year compared with Real the year
prior.
Im thinking Hleb and Fabs were rested rather than out with injury
against the Boro and probably will only make an apperance late on
in the CL.
Hopfully we can get our sh*t together and get the full three
against chelsea.
I think playing Chelsea now is not too bad seeing as Drogba is
out and there go to guy would have to be lamps in mid now and im
sure fabs can take care of that.
Should be able to take Chelsea 2-1.
1-0 to the arsenal -Diaby goal
Slavia holding Sevilla too, may it continue for another 60
mins.
Edit: looking good at half time with Bendtner doubling the lead and Slavia holding.

Interesting line up as well with Senderos and Traore in the
backline and Song, Diaby and Walcott starting in midfield. Who
cares, its working. Lets hope Slavia can hold on for a draw.
Ah well, second it is. Bring on Real/Barca/Porto/Inter/Milan.
Bit of a pain that. 13 points would have been enough to win 4 of
the other groups and yet we still finish 2nd. Hopefully the squad
will be back to full strength by the next round.
Draw Saturday morning NZ time, with the English teams and Seville ruled out it leaves:
Barcelona,
AC Milan,
Porto,
Real Madrid,
Inter Milan
Wenger has said he will take a gamble for the Chelsea game.Im
thinkin RVP (already fit),Flamini,Cesc to start with Hleb on the
bench.
And who else hates f*cking Cashley C*nt? Hope we smash him and
Chelski,
Id rather have a Willie than C*nt.........

Article that Arsene said this for the rest of you:
"He [Van Persie] is ready physically, yes. We have some other
players who are injured, like Fabregas, like Hleb, Flamini, and
we'll have to assess the situation of these players in the next few
days, though I will certainly have to take a gamble on one or two.
Can I take a gamble on three or four? That would be a very risky so
I'll have to assess the situation in the next three or four
days."
all i've seen is highlights but the two players that stood out for
me were van persie and diaby so its good to have them back.
As kick off is 8 hours away i thought i would get the Gooner thread back up where it belongs,on top.
Anyone calling themselves a Gooner must be getting up (or
stayin up) for the game.
Cant wait to see us smash them and C*shley C*nt all arond the
park.
