Ch*lski next weekend and Sp*rs the weekend after that.Cant wait for Cashley C*nt to return to Emirates and have to be subbed off after 15 mins as he cant handle the crowd.That is,if he makes it into the ground....Would love nothing more than Cesc to give him one then put 3 past the Russians.

Looks like we will have a fully fit squad for those games (barring no more injuries over the next 2 weeks) with RVP and the rest back into it.Fullt fit squad over the busy next month,cant wait

i think wenger should give bendtner a start ahead of eduardo tonight against boro and bring on theo later into the game. Theo has had a really good impact off the bench so far this season in games like bolton and sunderland.

Who else is brave enough to skip sleep and watch this in the wee hours of tomorrow morning?

I can now say i have seen the worst performance of our season by far. We lost that game, and it wasn't as if Borough were having a super game, we were just utterly crap. I am convinced Gilberto has passed his use by date. So much of our midfield play was  squandered by our players rushing passes. Usually we hurry our passes but it seems as is we are too afraid to take a tackle. The number of mistakes we made under mediocre pressure was pathetic. I was particularly disappointed with Adebayour this morning. He didn't make enough runs behind the Borough line, which was quite high. He seemed tired from the start and didn't seem willing to make a team effort, i think being the league goal scorer has gone to his head. I hope we put our Carling cup squad out for the CL game with Hleb, Cesc & Flamini making appearances from the bench to freshen them up for Chelski game. UberGunner2007-12-10 08:39:03

Yes I'm pretty concerned about next weekend now. I suspect Man U, with their current form, will take Liverpool meaning we will need all 3 to remain at the top.

Ohh man i stayed up to watch the game, it was so poor. I agree with comments about adebayor he had one of "those" games where everything he does doesn't come off, he had one chance where his touch meant he lost a chance to score...positive maybe was walcott's performance off the bench, be nice to see if he could produce that over 90 mins

At least the midweek game is at home to the CL group whipping boys. Maybe 4 or more goals against these guys could lift the momentum up a notch again. We have a habit of hanging our heads for a long time after performances like that and in the past it has taken us a while to bounce back.

I'd like rosicky to play in the middle like he does for country, and obviously have flamini in the middle too...

Who would you play on the left? Eduardo and Walcott both look a bit out of their depth on the left, imo.

i think rosicky would be great there, but yeah, the left side of the field becomes a problem. testing different options will have to wait for a while i'd say. bring carlos vela back in jan and drop him in there!

can't merida play left midfield? maybe he could be an option? I just reakon without hleb or Fabregas the centre of midfield lacks thats spark that maybe rosicky could bring if he played in the middle nikkagee2007-12-11 13:16:31

Gilberto was a passenger against Middlesborough.

Van Persie is back for the Steaua game so will be fit for the chelsea one aswell.

Looking ahead to the next round of the CL it looks as though we'll probably draw one of:

Real Madrid
Porto
AC MIlan
Barca
Inter

Fingers crossed we draw Porto!

I definitely don't think it's crucial. As Arsene rightly says, look how well we did against PSV last year compared with Real the year prior. 

Im thinking Hleb and Fabs were rested rather than out with injury against the Boro and probably will only make an apperance late on in the CL.

Interesting line up as well with Senderos and Traore in the backline and Song, Diaby and Walcott starting in midfield. Who cares, its working. Lets hope Slavia can hold on for a draw.

Ah well, second it is. Bring on Real/Barca/Porto/Inter/Milan. 

Bit of a pain that. 13 points would have been enough to win 4 of the other groups and yet we still finish 2nd. Hopefully the squad will be back to full strength by the next round.

Draw Saturday morning  NZ time,with the English teams and Seville ruled out it leaves:

all i've seen is highlights but the two players that stood out for me were van persie and diaby so its good to have them back.
