Will be interesting to see teams they field. I bet they don't put any reserves out like we do. Saying that, I reckon the Arsenal team that played today would easily finish top 10 in the Premiership. Arsene knows!!

For the record, we started Justin Hoyte and Mark Randall, brought Kieran Gibbs off the bench and had Gavin Hoyte on the bench.

Clearly English is your second language

Thankfully the ones on show have been coached the Arsenal way and therefore nationality is irrelevant, although it could be describes as: Gooner.

Would you Robbie Savage for at least 5 million pounds or Diaby for 2 million pounds?

C*nt and Ch*ski in the semis and Sp*rs in the the final anyone??

[/QUOTE]

Close.
Sp*rs in the semis is 2 massive games coupled with the North London derby this weeked.
That leads to another posssible game against the Chavs and another possible piss-take of C*shley C*nt.

Looks like Liverpools season is all over again. There only chance of a trophy is gone.

never seen this thread so quiet after an arsenal game. have not seen any of the game, but by the sounds it wasnt our best display ever. pompey parked 10 men behind the ball and our formation was not change to adapt. missing the 4-4-2 alot, too much midfield cluster and that means hleb and cesc cant play an open game and ade gets lost by himself. i know it is working other games, but often it fails us. bring back RVP!

I saw the last 20 minutes and we had our chances to win. Especially when Bill put one over the crossbar from 6 yards out. Pompey were playing for the draw at the end. We really should be winning these games if we expect to mount a serious challenge for the title. Everton at Goodison won't be any easier. I guess RVP has picked up another injury seeing as he wasn't on the bench today. The sooner he comes back the better. Gooner 4 Life2007-12-27 14:03:13

only reason that is, is because wenger will not play 4-4-2 without him becasue our other options up front he is not keen on starting. that may change with the influence bendtner has been having though.

oh, and i will try find a source but i read earlier he wont be playing at everton either...

Gallas and Rosicky missed golden opportunities in the last few minutes.

But why wasn't Bendtner brought on earlier?! He was taking the p*ss when he came on.

Robin van Persie will NOT be fit to return against Everton on Saturday - and William Gallas is a doubt for the weekend trip to Merseyside.

The Dutch striker made his first start for two months against Steaua Bucharest on December 12 after a long-term knee injury and came on as a substitute against Chelsea four days later.

He was sidelined for the north London derby with what was described by Arsene Wenger as a "little muscular problem, but a very minor one". Van Persie was expected to feature at Everton but that is no longer the case. To make matters worse, Gallas suffered an injury against Portsmouth on Boxing Day.

"Van Persie will not play on Saturday," confirmed Wenger after the 0-0 draw at Fratton Park. "We don't know about Gallas yet. He got a kick on his foot late in the first half."

The above is from arsenal.com...not good news against a team like everton

rsene desperately needs more strikers, despite his saying that he is happy with the group hes got, if Bentner doesnt kick on then they are gonna need more backup, Adebayor needs a partner and at the mo RVP is looking as fragile as Saha

gallas is fit to play at everton but eboue and walcott are being rested as in Van persie.

Presumably this means

               Almunia
Sagna  Toure  Gallas  Clichy
Rosicky Flamini Fabregas Hleb
   Bendtner/ Eduardo Adebayor

Possibly Diaby will play on the right wing and hleb will move back to his role behing Adebayor.

oh and Arsene said he won't buy anyone even as cover in CB for toure when he leaves and Senderos undoubtedly gets another red. when that happens he has no-one really good enough

1-4 to us. you have to love a game where we don't play well and still put four past a supposedly good defense. I left Wellington before Xmas with us being 1 point clear at the top of the league, now just before new years we are 2 points clear. Three cheers for west ham, and i hope all you gooner's have a happy new year. see you all at the BB on the 4th

What an amazing game this morning. The second half had everything. Eduardo finally scores his first Premiership goals. Bendtner gets sent off before Wenger can substitute him and then the 2 substitutes - Adebayor and Rosicky kill off Everton with goals. Not to mention Arteta's red card as well. I actually thought the ref had a reasonable game. He seemed to be letting a lot of fouls go and Eduardo's second goal had a hint of handball about it in the lead up. Some of the bookings were a bit silly though apart from maybe Bendtners second yellow.
Definitely a game of 2 halves. I got into work to watch it and picked it up at 24 minutes and 0-1 down. Was starting to wonder if I should have made an effort as I was pretty hung over too from last night. So glad I did now. Awesome result.

I think you are forgetting Johan Djourou coming back from Birmingham, he has done reasonably well there and played consistantly so he wont be as rusty as a bench player. we can only hope that Ivory Coast dont progress in the ACN but it's more likely that they will win it.

No i didn't forget about him im just hoping we don't have to resort to that. he has given away 3 or 4 penalties for brimingham so far this season with challenges that didn't need to be made and that has cost birmingham points.
last week he had a throw in and he was way back in his own half and he threw it back towards the goalkeeper not realising he was throwing it onto the opposition stirkers feet and because it was from him there was no offside the striker was one on one and it was an easy goal.

Would you belive that Tottenham are now the top scorers in the Premiership with 41 goals after putting 6 past Reading!! 1 more than Arsenal. Still, they're 23 points behind us so maybe St Totteringham day might come early this year

I really don't think we need any more strikers.

Adebayor and RVP will be our starting partnership when fit and Eduardo and Bendtner are also fighting for places and playing well.

Also Arsene has favoured only playing one striker at times this season, especially in the big games.

4 quality strikers is enough

Who is this Zephyr fella... I like the optimism on this thread - keeps the spirits up for us gooners when things are getting scary. These comments are not good to read, love it when they are emphatically rebuked by a great (maybe not quite too great) 4-1 victory...

Anyone watch the westham game this morning? Was good stuff... pretty comfortable. Good to see Eduardo scoring again, he really can finish...

Didn't think Hoyte was very good though - they attacked successfully down his side numerous times. Shows how good Sagna is - him and clichy are unstoppable down the sides when they are both playing. Fabregas came into his own again too - i think it was his best game since he came back from injury... And Almunia was fantastic, i think he's getting better every game that goes by.
