Thanks for the links guys. Watched the highlights on footytube cause something on my comp means that the clips of the arsenal blogsite dont work.

Game seemed quite good, we had most of the chances but credit to Green who made a number of top saves. As for the offside decision it's still hard to tell even when they froze it but i have seen more dubious offside decisions in my time.

Oh, and as for the CL matches, complain to ESPN about that not Sky. Cause it's actually through the ESPN international feed that we get all our programming from ESPN, so it's up to them whether we receive CL matches or not, and which CL matches they choose to put on aswell.

Can't wait for the end of the month 2 MASSIVE games coming up, liverpool and then a week later man u, if we can get 4point out of these games it will go a long way. as for the next 2games we should take out sunderland and bolton. Bolton isnt the team that they used to be. that tackle on helb on weekend was horrible

horrible is almost an understatement! it was sick. anyone think ljungberg was hard done by with the offside (not that i care too much at all) - seemed like he was onside on replays.

anyway, good couple of wins next two weeks going into liverpool and manure games. going to be great matches, i cannot wait!!!

0-1 to Arsenal. should have been more but a win in eastern europe is quite rare for us these days, so i wont complain too much with the scoreline. Bring on sunderland.

yip 1-0 is fine with me, another win or 2 in champions league and then we can give the boys on the bench a taste of champions league footy and rest some of the boys.

Agreed. Good to see RVP banging them in now too. We've got goalscorers accross the park now - far cry from the last couple of years.

freakin awesome. We havent been on tv enough lately. Both our ManU and Lpool games will surely be on and they should be crackers. Lets f*ck manU up - was awesome when we did the double on them in the premiership last year. Henry's late headed winner was probably my favourite moment of the 06/07 season. UP THE FREAKIN ARSENAL

p.s. how many posts do i need before i lose this rubbish trainee tag?

Random thought, Do you guys think silva will make it back into starting 11??? flamini has been awesome this year and diarra was pretty good against newcastle and diaby is good there also. As much as i like silva it would be bad business to sell him in off season and make some money while he still has a year to run on his contract.

ps is it just me or has theo been pretty disappointing so far?? i know he's still young

I've heard the rumours re: Silva too. I think it would be good business to sell him while he still has some useful life left. But I do like him and he does add some seniority in what is otherwise a very young side. I'm not sure how I feel so I'll defer the decision to Arsene.

I'm yet to be impressed by Walcott (he's fast but his finishing is poor) but look at his age! I don't think all the UK media hype will help him, but let him develop imo. As a young player he could be at no better club.

We have to keep Theo - he's our token English player!

The way we're going I can't see Gilberto making it back into the side, but what a player to have on the bench/as a reserve! Completely agree with the statement that if we're going to sell him it'd better be soon though.

Personally I think bringing in Diarra opens up a strong likelihood of one of the midfielders being let go and at the moment Gilberto looks most likely

I've thought about the Silva issue a little more and have come to the conclusion we keep him. We don't need the money from the sale, being the richest UK club and the second richest club in the world, and Wenger certainly doesn't need anymore than he has (70m GBP at latest report).

Keep him for his seniority and as a super-sub.

No No arsenal should not sell Gilberto...Flamini and Diarra and diaby can all play in his posi but Gilberto to me is the best. I have heard talk that Wenger plans to use him a CB in the future more and more. I think he should start.

I agree, Gilberto should stay. I think he will be back in the starting 11 for the games against liverpool and Man u at the end of the month. Having him in place helps give cover to the other midfielders going forward.

3-2. ANother 3 points but we made hard work of it. Good to see theo have an impact of the bench. Diaby must be pissed after having 2 goals turned down.

Far out toure was unlucky not to score that screamer from 35 out. Diaby is showing some really nice touches out on the left. I'm loving the shots from outside the box unlike the last couple of season when we try and score the perfect goal. sagna got a haircut LOL. helb has picked up his game big time this season. and we still got gallas and rosicky to come back. SUcks having a international break when we are in such good form

Agreed Buffon, I was thinking 'shades of the AB"s'when they equalised. Our football in the first twenty and the last 20 was outstanding. Just before i saw the linesmans flag and i thought it was 3-0 and i was thinking it was guna be an absolute hiding. It was like watching pinball, all that accurate one touch passing. Arsenal as we know it. Great to watch. We really are the goods this year. Agree that Hleb has picked up his game. He's doing the same stuff as last year but just making no mistakes anymore. Diaby gets better every game. Everyone's getting goals. How good is it when you've got Gilberto off the bench, gallas/rosicky still to return and denilson doesn't even figure - he's class and will also continue to get better. Diarra hasn't been involved either and he's class too. Walcott was excellent - his first touch all but made RVP's winner. Speaking of which, RVP is just outstanding - perhaps the most powerful shot in the premiership? paulm2007-10-08 18:00:34

if that goal had been allowed and it was 3-0 i think 5,6 or 7-o was on the cards, credit to sunderland though they didnt sit back and take it they fought, Jones looks pretty good he skinned clichy (was it?) to get that shot on goal wich lead to wallaces goal...These are exciting times for arsenal the future looks very bright if Diarra or denilson cant even get time!

as Arsene would say - "for me that was a third goal" re. Diaby's unlucky disalowed goal. Great game though i think. obviously i'd say the same thing if 3-0 win but to lose the lead, and persist to come out on top is a good effort. Especially when having to survive the physical onslaught most teams are throwing at us. Great goal by RVP - that is some super power alright.. Im guttered walcott did not get that sitter, would have done him a world of good, hope the assist helped him though.

Man a wish Liverpool hadnt equalised, as much as i dislike the spurs, it would have been great - although picking up two points on them  is good aswell. cant wait for the trip to anfield, and hosting man u. Go the ARSE!!!

I really thought that we were going to run away with that, but credit to Sunderland; they held on, but as the commentators mentioned, we have been superb in the first 20 and last twenty of most games this season. Disappointing about Diaby, can't get closer to a hat trick without scoring. He did deserve one atleast, but that opening strike on his behalf was astounding. It was great to Eboue making a couple of great runs towards the end . . . and Theo - well done, considering a few weeks ago, the commentators were grilling him for his final ball. Van Persie was unbelievable (well not really, we can all believe it) His strike before the corner where Senderos sent his header wide was a great example of his power, not to mention the free kick. Disappointing Adebayor couldn't put that ball inside the post in injury time, but oh well, three points - thats the main thing.

Can't wait for Rosicky to be back.

who would be a better signing in January. Robert Green or Micah Richards. My money is on Richards, but we would have to sell Lehman the other way, wich may mean we end up buying both :)

i wud love to have signed richards last season when his value was lower but now after england caps he will be 14mill+ which wenger won't spend and he's signed a new man city contract soon. Havnt seen enough of green but i would prefer scott carson the liverpool keeper thats on loan

Definitely won't be getting Richards, at least for a few years. Hes about to sign a new contract and Wenger will have to splash out big time to get him, which he won't do. I rate him, but where do you play him? With Gallas and Toure fit and Eboue and Sagna fighting for right back we've already got a solid backline.

I think richards would be a great buy. I know it isn't the wenger way to splash out like that - then again he has got 70 mil at his disposal...

The real reason why i don't think we'll get him is because we probably wouldn't start richards regularly in our line up (barring injuries of course). I don't think Richards will fit in anywhere he's not starting every game. I think he really might stay at Man City if anything. Chelsea don't appear to be splashing out right now, ManU have ferdinand, vidic and neville (when fit) in his positions. Can't see anyone else stumping up the cash - only perhaps tottenham or westham? And why would he go there instead of Man City at the moment...
