I'd just like to start off this new category by saying that all "educated" supporters follow Port Vale, and the "uneducated" unwashed tend to support Stoke City. Other teams have pockets of support, but as one can see from One Vale Fan, they aren't quite as educated.

Seen Tranmere quite a few times, right from old 4th Division days, until Aldo nearly got them in the Prem.  Shame they never made it

Remember when Port Vale knocked the Toffees out of the cup, and they were holders as well at the time . . .  Almost as famous as when they sent Spurs packing . . .

There are quite a few Vale fans in Wellington - well about eight I either know of or have met.

PVFC hasn't logged in lately - but will be another who supports the cause.

Only a pity that promotion wasn't on the cards this season, but there is always next year.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the slow response. Been up in Taupo for a bit of R & R

Certanily a good Vale following here. Maybe we should have a get together before one of the games and create a NZ Port Vale Fan Club

I'm being kind to our Stoke friends - they shouldn't be blamed for having a poor taste in clubs.

I dont think it is poor taste!!!! Its either their mentality or the fact that thats where most of the pies are on a Saturday afternoon

Wikipedia - Stoke have an unfortunate history of hooliganism (yeah often at Vale Park)

Vale are making a valiant (sorry) last minute bid to drop down the table - so that they can surprise everyone next season. Look at the four win start this year . . .

Port Vale finished in the top half of the table - not as bad as it could have been but not as good as it should have been after winning first four.
