Redknapp held in football corruption inquiry...
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Portsmouth have confirmed that their manager, Harry Redknapp, was one of the five people arrested today as part of the City of London's investigation into football corruption

yeh just saw that on soccernet

one less option for the bookies and the punters ( and i doubt that'll be treated like a 'scratching' )

there's probably a cockney accent joke, along the lines of  "you scratch my back and i'll see you right guvnor", lurking about somewhere - but i'll not bother

On returning home, he said: "We all helped the police with their inquiries, but it doesn't directly concern me, it's other people involved.

"I've been answering questions to help the police. I am not directly concerned with their inquiries."

Redknapp confirmed that he had been arrested and said: "They have to arrest you to talk to you, for you to be in the police station. I think that's the end of it, it didn't directly concern me."

Mmmmm...

not only a talented manager, he has an ability to re- interpret reality to suit his own needs that would make a politician proud!

I'm sure the bobbies would not appreciate the extra paper work if Redknapp became Minister of Police

Bobby - "Hello, hello, hello, - your arrested"

youf - "f**k off pig' what for?

Bobby - "I just wanted to ask directions but under the new law I've got to arrest you to talk to you."

youf - Dats oright den, where ya wan go?

theworldgame.com.au reports he's been released - going to great pains to tell everyone it's "not directly him"...

Which sounds like an admission of some form of guilt...
