Yep, I can safely say that all QPR fans are devastated. We thought we were going to lose him to Fulham but he re - signed on a 3 1/2 year deal with the Hoops.

Check out this heartfelt comment from Adam Bolder:

QPR captain Adam Bolder has issued a statement about the tragic death of 18-year-old team-mate Ray Jones, who was killed in a car crash early on Saturday morning.

Speaking on behalf of the first team squad, Bolder said: "Ray was one of us. It goes without saying that Ray was the most gifted player at the club.

"He had a fantastic raw ability and was destined for a very bright future, both at club and international level.

"He was a great character, a very popular figure in the dressing room and he will be sadly missed.

"Word can't really express how we all feel at the moment but our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this sad time.

"It is a tragedy that we are all struggling to come to terms with but we will pick ourselves up and play our hearts our for Ray.

"Every kick, every shot, every tackle will be for him.

"He was one of us and he will never be forgotten.

"May he rest in peace."

I've linked this to various QPR message boards. The thoughts expressed have been deeply appreciated, Since Rays death, two other players have died too with heart conditions, So sad the learn about.

The football league have allowed the QPR players to wear Rays name on the back of their jersey's against Southampton this Saturday & there will be a minute of applause before the game as a tribute towards Ray.

The idea of a minute's applause rather than a minute's silence is great.  It lets people celebrate Rays contribution to QPR, as well as stopping some prat from making noise when they shouls shut it
