A true legend of the game. Gave football six decades of service. Sadly this day has been coming for a while now due to his long battle with cancer.

RIP Sir Bobby. You will be missed.

Sad news. Illustrious coaching career. Always seemed an affable bloke too.

RIP

Sad news indeed, but not unexpected.

However a great loss to football and a true ambassador for the sport.

RIP Sir Bobby

Great sadness to hear the news this evening.
Greatest manager to ever come out of England. You have achieved some of the greatest accomplishments as both a player and a manager.
Newcastle died the day Sir Bobby was controversialy sacked - it was disgusting the way this legend was treated.

RIP Sir Bobby.

He lived for football, every interview you saw the passion in his eyes.
He should be held up as an example for the merceneries of today.

A great man who is already sadly missed

Will definitely be missed. The last England manager whose passing will be genuinely mourned. I remember watching his Ipswich team come down to Brighton and beat us as they tried to win the title race with Liverpool. Wish I could say I remember seeing Robson that day (mainly I remember the Ipswich keeper for some reason).

RIP Sir Bobby - I wish we had more like you.
