What a gamble this is. Paul Ince seems to be a wise sort of guy but Robbie is just too old and injury prone now. But if he's going to be coaching and providing some experience and guidance? Perhaps that'd be ok.

There is a thread in the NZ section about this (Ryan Nelsen connection; a bit tenuous; This was my response;
"Might have signed, nothing confirmed.
And Fowler is way, way past it and will hardly see any game time. I mean, he didn't exactly feature a lot for Cardiff. I don't see why doesn't he drop down a couple of leagues and get some game time. It's well known that he doesn't need the money so it's obviously the football he's after and how much of that will he get at Rovers? Bugger all I'd say.
I can't understand it, both from his own viewpoint and Blackburn's. They've already got two bench-warming forwards in Benni "Pope" McCarthy and Matt Derbyshire anyhow.."

Blackburn are a ship without a navigator now Hughes has gone. Nelsen should jump while his reputation is in tact.
