Suppose it's how you define a real football supporter , someone who likes football the game or someone who   uses football as a convenient vehicle for sectariansim and vile historic hatred  !
Scottish football without one or both the ugly sisters ?who knows how refreshing that could be ,especially in a newly independant country trying to build a modern future for itself free from all that rubbbish !

Interesting thought, eh? Of course Scottish football would survive without one, or both, of the Ugly Sisters. Scottish football isn't just about Celtic and Rangers, in the same way as English football isn't just about Man Utd and Man City.

However, it's the level at which it would survive, both domestically and internationally, which is the interesting question.

For someone who has been seen on here that you hate Scotland, I find it interesting that you have such a great interest in Scottish football

Sorry, Buff. What about Tottenham and Arsenal?

It is an interesting situation. Probably one that everybody, including myself, never considered possible.

Can't say we owe sh*t to Rangers. Their fans have, bashed our manager, mailed him bullets, and tried to send him a nail bomb to kill him.
What the f**k do we owe them?
Scottish football is already down the sh*tter, we get 1m for winning the league, and each club gets roughly 1m ish give or take for TV money.
It's utter peanuts compared to most leagues in the world. So saying we need Rangers, when we already have our fan base is a lie.
As much as I would love to see them liquidated (and I personally think it's more likely than not) I'd rather see them suffer for the next 10 years.

Haha!  Nice to see the the Ugly Sisters having a miserable weekend.

And Sellic lose after Lenny had a press conference saying they wouldn't be out of place in the Premier League.  By Premier League I believe he was clearly referring to a move to the Eircom Ireland Premiership...

Oh, and big ups to the Jambos winning yet another EdinB derby!  At least try H*bs - you're getting well embarrassing!  New manager for the Pars so maybe they can catch the Fester Road lot and relegate them.  Lovely jubbly.

Have had a soft spot for Aberdeen since the Alex Ferguson era when I was a teenager in the early 80's so afraid I'm a little biased.
Amazing that two of Ferguson's players from the early 80's ended up coaching/ playing in NZ too:
Bobby Clark, Aberdeen goalie of course was briefly All Whites coach;
Ian Porteous, Aberdeen midfielder has played and coached in Wellington since 1996 and is currently Waterside-Karori Director of Football.

For me the one real moment of quality in the match was Rory's 25 yard volley and will live long in my memory.
 Video clip here:

NICE FOOTAGE OF BOTH RORY'S GOAL AND ZIDANE'S REAL MADRID VOLLEY- COMPARISON:
"RORY FALLON (ABERDEEN) GOLAZO v HIBERNIAN COMPARED TO ZIDANE HAMPDEN PARK SPECIAL" :

Reminds me a bit of Marco van Basten's goal for Holland v USSR Euro '88:

Fallon was further out and van Basten volleyed first time without controlling.
To me, Fallon's goal just as wonderful...

VIDEO OF POST-MATCH INTERVIEW WITH RORY:

VIDEO OF POST-MATCH INTERVIEW CRAIG BROWN ABERDEEN MANAGER:

PRINT INTERVIEWS WITH RORY:

It was the New Zealander who fired his side back into the tie when he scored a spectacular equaliser with just over half an hour of the match remaining. But in the end it was merely a consolation effort.

Its disappointing to score a great goal at Hampden and end up on the losing side, said the 30-year-old. It should have been a special day but it didnt turn out that way. Ill take my goal as a consolation.

Ive hit a few sweet ones in my career, in training and in games, but because of where I was on the pitch it was a special goal. It was a bit different to what Ive been used to, Ive hit a few bicycle kicks and volleys from close range but not one from that far out. I was happy with the strike. I couldnt have hit it any better.

Latest rumour is that the EPL is being revamped with a new Super Premier League consisting of Rangers & Celtic, and an "Premier League" featuring 10 other clubs & a "Championship" featuring the rest.

Rangers and Celtic will face each other 36 times to decide who wins the title.... if Rangers don't get bankrupted.

We're going to try and bore evryone we play against into submission! I was relatively (as much as a Scot could be) optimistic when I saw the draw but we, in addition to our obvious lack of quality, have a Coach with no imagination and who's trying not to lose games rather than trying to win them. If we don't get a win in midweek, then I'm hoping Levein gets sacked. Only problem then is who takes over.

In a nutshell? I'm not checking out the price of flights to Rio...

Cheap snake oil going cheap, get in now for the most hilarious share issue in history !!
Going to be interesting to see how many of the mugs at  Castle Greyskull  will dip into their  collective pockets for the great Charles Green (Barnum and Barnum) sporting  scam and  invest in the SFL 3rd divison minnows Sevco fc (500 quid minimum investment)
They don't walk away ,they can't pay their way ,and the can't play away

F*kn hilarious love it !!

It's hard to see from that angle but there's deffinately a possibility that #6's right leg makes contact with Bale's and IMO you usually don't tangle your legs like that without a bit of help. If it was a dive he'd have just gone to ground Suarez style without the leg trip effect.

Regardless, even if there is contact it's only incidental, and not a foul.

Didn't realistically think we had much chance of qualifying, but thought we would at least push the top teams. The squad on paper is as good as it has been in recent memory. In Morrison, Snodgrass, Maloney and Forest we have players who can create plenty of chances. At least we have Steven Fletcher back but looks like we will be missing out on yet another major tournament. Will be lucky to get anything from Belgium on Tuesday. Looks like Levein will be on his way soon.....

As for Bale, cracking player but terrible dive.

Watched the match and it was really disappointing. Thought we were okish in the first half. NOBODY took responsibility for marking Bale the whole match, which was a disaster, and totally stupid. Heck, Levein used to be the sort of player to mark someone like Bale out a match...

Was unlucky how the whole thing went though. Definite goal disallowed, then dodgy penalty.

Swore a lot at Charlie Adam for being very slow to pick up Bale for the 2nd goal.

Belgium quite possibly going to murder us over there.

Sigh.

http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/sfl-division-three/tom-english-east-stirlingshire-online-is-the-future-says-green-let-s-see-if-the-500-million-buy-into-it-1-2575529

More fantastical  rantings from the team formely known as Rangers owner  Chucky(Dell Boy) Green

"He(Green) concluded that Rangers could generate £100 million in media rights every year. We’ll say that again; £100m. That’s £39.4m more than Manchester City made from Sky Sports when winning the English Premiership last season. That’s still £10.1m more than City would make even if they won the league again when the new and eye-watering £3bn Sky Sports/BT deal kicks in next year."

Not bad for a team playing East Stirling this weekend in SFL div 3 and with no prospect of playing in any  European competition for four years at least  ,the yorkshireman is completely bonkers !!

Time for any sensible Sevco/ Zombie Rangers  fan to runaway from the circus !

2 - 0 loss to Belgium. Could've been worse, I suppose.

Good news is that, hopefully, Levein will now get his marching orders.

As for Charles Green, I never cease to be amazed by the gibberish he comes out with. Sad thing is that the hordes of knuckle dragging "we don't do walking away" types buy into his bullshit. Quite sad really.
