Didn't Arsenal get the same?

The playing field is still far from anywhere near level, and that's fair enough. I just don't think the standard of Scottish football should be judged in relation to the EPL, just because it happens to be the nearest country to England - the difference in cashflow is like night and day.

Decent draw for Rangers in the Champions League. Dunno if ESPN will show much of that group on the telly. I was hoping they got drawn with Liverpool actually. (smash them at home).

Well done Scotland the other night!

2-0, and in the 2nd half by far the best performance of Burley's reign. 2 good goals as well.

Now all down to the big one v Holland!

I watched the game on my P2P and the second half was the best attacking side I have seen from Scotland in a long while, although a decent side would have got 2/3 on the break tbh. It would be great for Scotland to win but I honestly don't think that 13 points will be enough, we do have to get a draw though, and guarantee second to get a decent draw next time round.

Maybe qualify for OZ!

We ara peeple!!!

Is the Scotland v Holland game on ESPN on Thurs? My mate said he saw an advert for it but it missed whether it was live or a delay?

Hopefully live!

Suppose I'll be watching it, even though we'll get dicked. Still, at least it means that we'll get rid of Burley, so it's not all bad.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Is it on at the Backbencher?

edit - according to the BBC the kick off time is 7.30pm UK, which would be 6.30am here?

I would check myself but access to a lot of sports related sites at work is restricted so I can't check ESPN's site to find out one way or the other.

Through in the restuarant bit for the Scotland game then?

I'll try and drum up some support - will you be able to have the sound on for both games too?

Yep, we can split the audio between the restaurant and the back bar. i can probably get the projector in the restaurant up and running if thier are enough of you.
You may have to arrange your own furniture though (ie taking chairs down, not bas in bringing your own). the boss will set up the backbar, but i wont get to work untill 6:30am (normal start time anyway)
Ill have to make sure im my Oranje shirt.

None of my lot are coming now - a range of excuse such as "too early", "wrong end of town" blah blah.

So, house for me I'm afraid.

Checked the ESPN site too - can't find any sign of the game actually being on here, where did you get your info from?

Sure it's not Butcher who's the problem? Who would you get to replace Burley Jag?

That is the $64K question, FT. Off the top of my head, no-one jumps out as a prime candidate. Still find it odd that McLeish did so well with the squad and now Burley seems to have undone most of that good work. The way the whole Ferguson and McGregor incident was handled didn't inspire me with a lot of confidence in him either.

Don't really fancy Strachan as a replacement but, as he's currently unemployed, I'm sure his name will be considered.

Please NO to Strachan.

I would rather have Souness than Strachan to be honest.

Either it's not working properly for me, or I am completely blind? I still can't see it?

Can also confirm 100% that it's a 6.30am kick off, changed by FIFA after Saturday's game.

Just a warning guys, ESPN is still listing the coverage as starting at 6.55am on the TV guide, but the game kicks off at 6.30am.

I have e-mailed them but whether that will do any good I don't know.

As I predicted. Totally looked the goods, but couldn't quite score and Dutch get a stupid late goal. Exactly as predicted.

It was rediculous that Scotland didn't win. Football is stupid.

Celtic overtook Rangers to go top of the Scottish Premier League table with a dramatic late victory over Hearts.

Suso finished off a solo run with a fine strike from 18 yards out in the fifth minute to open the scoring for the visitors.

A diving header from Chris Killen levelled the scores in the 56th minute after his earlier shot was palmed wide by Hearts goalkeeper Janos Balogh.

And Glenn Loovens' close-range header snatched the points in added time.
