I've heard various things - good and bad, about the fella and here he serves up some thoughts as found on Soccernet.com. He's actually quite right IMHO.

Simon Jordan has blasted the 'arrogance' of the football world as he prepares to turn his back on the game for good.

The Crystal Palace chairman insists he has had enough of a sport he brands an 'insidious, insipid, egotistical, greedy, self-motivated game', and believes the problem starts right at the top with the likes of UEFA president Michel Platini.

'Michel Platini is going in front of the European Union to identify six sports which should have a special exclusion from human rights,' Jordan told the News of the World. 'But I look at it as another example of how arrogant football is - that it thinks it is above everything else. 'It thinks it's above every other worker and industry in the world - because it's football. 'When I leave football you will never see me involved in another club. 'The moment the door of Selhurst Park hits me, I will not be coming back.'

The last straw for Jordan was seeing a tribunal decree that Tottenham should pay the Eagles just an initial 700,000 for 16-year-old John Bostock. And he blasted the agents who he believes are turning the heads of youngsters in a desperate hunt for cash. 'Agents are nasty scum,' he added. 'They're evil and divisive and pointless. 'They only survive because the rest of the sport is so corrupt and because leading football club people employ their sons in the job. 'In my opinion, no owner in their right mind would willingly invite an average agent into his academy.'

Bostock situation is not good for the clubs that can't stick it in the top division LG. Never good seeing young talent snapped up by the big boys at such a snip of a fee. Particularly galling that Bostock will be warming benches and playing in reserve leagues when he could be having a bigger impact at Palace as they try to get up this year.

Time for the weightier Champ clubs like QPR, Charlton Shef W and Wolves to stick together on this and say it's not on. 700k when he was initially valued at over 4 million is taking the piss!

But the FL prefer to dect points from teams like Luton instead of nailing clubs who are blatantly ripping off others. Dean parfett joined Spurs for 2 million and he was one of our best youth. He was worth more than that but will fade in the Spurs academy into oblivion like many before him.

There is something deliciously ironic about Manure bleating about Real Madrid chasing the little diving twat while Spurs are compiling a dossier on their attempts to lure Berbatov away.  Values, morals, ethics, human rights?  Not in professional football.

Jeez - 700k is the usual offer the Old Firm give to the likes of Hibs, Motherwell and Dundee Utd for their first team strikers who are topping the SPL scoring charts, never mind an academy player. Highlights the arrogance of the Infirm

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!
