I looked and couldn't find one as such, so here goes....

Robby Keane   - what a petulant w**ker. So what he got subbed and boy didn't he throw his toys out of the cot. They said it was because he felt passionate about Spurs. Well he'd run out of steam and was behaving like a spoiled kid. Grown up Keane and learn to accept your anager might be right.

I have for a long time thought that Robbie Keane is one of the main reasons for Spurs underachieving. Quite simply, he's not a championship winning player. Sure, at times he's a capable player, but he's one of those who will either score six goals in six games or none in ten. His goals come in spurts (fnarr) and championship winning teams (and their challengers) need greater consistency than they get fromn Keane . The same accusation could possibly be leveled at Berbatov, but I think he's got more about him as a player, a a far higher level of technique than Keane.
On the positive side of the ledger, now that Tom Huddlestone has got himself sharper under Ramos, I think he will go on to become one of English football's greats. The lad has got everything except blistering pace, but with his obvious position being as a deep lying central midfielder that shouldn't hold him back too much. And Alan Hutton is probably the best left back in Britain.
Nix, Leyton Orient and Alloa Athletic supporting schmuck.

The reasons why there aint a Spurs thread

1. We spurs fans don't feel it necessary to co-op another clubs forum with our own special little play area . . .
2. We don't want to spend our time responding to sort of nonsensical garbage about THFC.

Ciao. See you lads back in the WPFC threads.

3. We are so embarrassed after claiming we were going to be in the top four this season that we've had to flee with our tail between our legs and accept that we're a bottom-half-of-the-league club.

I guess there are in fact, very few title winning players out there, as apart from Shearer at Blackburn and Cantona at Utd I can't think of many individual players with quite that amount of impact (Even Bergcamp and Henry at the Arse were part of very good outfits).

And Spurs are so far off being anywhere near title contenders (we will of course next season, ahem      ), quite frankly having someone of Keane's quality is probably the difference between mid table obscurity and relegation! He is absolutely class in my book.

Christ, can't believe I've even dignified it with a response, where are those puns....?HarryHotspur2008-03-17 12:47:08

I think Berbatov is an awesome player, a team player with awesome individual skills. I watched him this morning against City and his "off the ball" work was excellent. Keane is ion it for himself and that stupid six gun celebration. Perhaps Spurs need to sign Teddy Sherringham as a strikers coach now that he's announced his retirement at the end of the season.

An egotistical striker? Surely not....FFS LG, most footballers are like that (don't let the 'doing it for the team' line distract you), strikers probably only second to goalkeepers!

This thread almost sunk as quick as Spurs championship ambitions this season.

Give it up mate.  If they've lasted this long without a thread that just shows the lack of soul and passion they have for their club.
