No escape this time.
First team to drop out of the Premier League in 2016/17.
God they've been poor, they've been skirting on the brink for several seasons now, so it's hardly a surprise. Don't bank on them making the return straight back up either - Shambles AFC at the moment. Heartbreak for the fans, but the writings been on the wall for some time.
Boro will be with you for company and derby games anyway.
Poznan pricks off you go!

I don't support them, but it's been interesting watching their plight.
Really poor, they can't complain - absolutely no quality in that lineup apart from Defoe and Pickford, makes you wonder how much worse off they'd have been without them.
well, it has been a disappointing season for us indeed, one that promised so much at end of last when we were flying with Big Sam at the Helm, I honestly couldn't see us going down with Sam there and thought a couple of shrewd signings and we'd be closer to 10th than to 20th..
Alas, in come the FA and scupper those plans, then in comes Mt Negativity himself.. I can't say in my 30 odd years of actively supporting them we've had a manager at bad as this. granted our squad is not the best, but we've always been a team that has average players that give 110% and unfortunately that has gone with Moyes, average players bar a couple of gems without the workrate.
I really hope he goes in the summer and we get some positivity back in the club so we can mount some sort of challenge to come back up, honestly tho i cant see it.. we have a lot of decent young players, but we don't have the 2 big money sales like Newcastle did last season to finance their push this year. i think the best we can hope for is a push for the playoffs, but i expect we'll do something akin to Villa and struggle at the start and start to look better later on and scrape the top half.
Alas one thing i know is that we will win more games next season than we did this regardless of where we finish.. so thats something to cling onto..
What the hecks happened for Sunderland this season? On track for back to back relegation?!
