The buildup has already started if you have access to TVNZ Sports Extra.

There is also a full replay of the game at 8pm tomorrow night.

Good on TV One for getting the Setanta coverage.  What a refreshing change to get all the build up and the post match celebrations and discussion.

Is it me, or is Ray Wilkins now the spitting image of Lonegunman??

I remember seeing on TV, Ray in his first games for Chelsea all those years ago. seems like only yesterday. Brilliant player regardless of whom he played for. Lonegunmen2009-05-31 12:16:04

The pre match coverage was excellent. Hopefully we get the same on free to air next year as well.
My only comment is how they went on about Howard being at fault for Lampards goal. Thought that was a bit harsh. It was a great shot and he only just got his finger tips to it. There wasn't much else he could do. If you want to see an example of when the keeper was at fault, think back to the semi and Fabianski.

Totally agree.  Frank was off balance when he hit it and really stretching.  Sure it was savable, but not many keepers would have kept that out.  It was a ferocious strike. If he had hit it on balance I think it would have been closer to Howard.  But we'll take it and he got out of jail with the Malouda strike.

Gutted to lose but I can't complain about much. Chelsea throughly deserved to win that one. Maybe next year...

Great joy in Russia at the result. Must warm you cockles to know that tax payer money is funding a London footy team.
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Can I top up your pint of sour grapes DF.....?  How about a small bitter chaser....

This cup win was down to hard graft and teamwork, a tough season for Chelsea with little investment based on previous millions spent (wasted)....

Scolari proved that money doesn't buy you success....it's the leadership, tactics and inspiration of a man like Guus that builds success.....

Thats a bit rich Coxey. Especially when you say it to an Everton fan. You won't find a harder grafting, underfunded team in the Premier League than Everton. An when all Chelsea's recent success has come from Romans billions investing its an even more ironic statement.
Look at the relative benches for the cup final. We had Nash, Gosling, Baxter, Castillo and Jacobson compaterd to Hilario, Ballack, Kalou, Belletti etc Hardly a team short on expensive/experienced players.
If a previous coach couldn't get things out of that squad then there is something wrong behind the scenes.
I have to admit that as an Everton fan I am jealous of the billions Chelsea has to spend on players but would not swap that for the passion and determination that Everton play with. Moyes has made a very small squad with little investment consistantly the best club outside the 4 billionaire clubs for the last 6-7 season.
Thats my 2 cents worth anyway. Gutted we lost the final but extremely proud of the season we've put together.

Its no longer a problem.

Pretty average game to be honest. Chelsea were obviously the better team after the moment they scored. Fantastic first 25 seonds from Everton, and then they lost their shape! I'd hoped Everton might pull off the result, to be honest, as I simply cannot stand the billions that have gone into the London club. But ah well.

Yeah fair call Toffeeman, and apologize to DF for my smart arse reply - didn't realize DF was a Toffee and thought it was just another dig at Chelsea.  Just get peeved at people constantly hurling muck at us whatever we do....win, lose, self destruct, play beautiful footie, play sh*t footie....

I admire Everton's heart, bravery and Moyes great achievements with limited funds and didn't mean to belittle your fight or heart with my comments.
