Theo's finish?

Surely we're in need of some reinforcements. Going into games like that with RvP leading the line you expect goals.

Unfortunately Giroud's shot in the first half highlighted that he's not the quality we need week in week out.

Also, Arshavin as our only attacking option on the bench is bloody scary. I like the guy, but only 1 player available to impact the squad is nerve wracking.

How long until Jenkinson get's a start? Sagna needs a rest big time.

Get the biggest guy to collect the money.

Can you imagine Per walking up to Santi asking him to pay up? Hilarious.

Wegner in his presser this morning saying they were never in for Zaha. Doesn't that directly contradict what he said last week?

Wenger is an epic troll in press conferences, surely you know that by now. Has he ever come out and said 'yeah we're keen on X' then actually bought X?

Zaha seems a bit over-hyped to me anyway if I'm honest. With the re-signing of Theo I think we have bigger concerns than wide players (striker, DM especially).

Zaha is the best player in the championship - we don't have any genuine wide players that cause a threat imo except Walcott who isn't a genuine winger anyway.

Podolski isn't a winger, Cazorla isn't a winger, Ox is probably the closest we have but he wants to play in midfield and Gervinho is barely a footballer.

Yeah it seems to be lost in the UK where there is a lot of angst when Wenger talks of a player eg Zaha and doesn't sign them. He is a huge shark stirrer and I think in all honesty he does it with the intentions of driving the other clubs acquisitions prices up. So many don't seem to know he gets he kicks out of it.....

10 goals from 27 starts out wide this season seems a pretty good return to me.

Really? He is a young player who was signed as a winger and who I believe will continue to play there for some time.

Behind Theo (who I believe will continue to play wide now that is contract is signed), Ox and Podolski, I don't think he is the worst fourth-choice in the league.

Scored a cracker for Cote d'Ivoire yesterday.  That'll be him for the rest of the AFC tourney!

How old is Leggy?  Is he 12 or 72?

great stuff this morn, this team's got some real talent, consistency the issue this season

Ramsey looked decent sitting in, much better than out wide. Played a lot like arteta, smart passes moving it on quickly, and very good positioning - always seemed to be tight on someone or making a tackle when they broke.

Attacking front 3 were very very good. Wilshere his amazing self as usual, he really is some player. He's very combative and gets his foot on the ball a the last moment so often - I fear for a broken leg/ankle with his style.

Worried about our injury situation. Vermaelen and Gibbs possible absentees after that game. Nothing much about it in the news but I see a little line at the bottom of some articles saying diaby has yet another thigh injury - he wasnt on the bench.

Why the f*ck did wenger play him 3 in a row after that time out? When will we learn with diaby? Rarks me up.

Coquelin has done a hammy too. Frimpong might see some time this weekend.

Also I hope we're going to complain about Vaz Te to the FA - that scrape he put on the Sack early on was disgraceful. Even more-so that Marriner saw it clearly and did nothing. His first half officiating was atrocious, he was asking the players to maim eachother by repeatedly not calling fouls (for both teams - not a whinge).

Possibly the best 12 minutes of football I've ever seen there, we just destroyed them. Classy classy stuff

Definitely warming up to Giroud. We need more of that from him to help our top 4 push.

Three for me, and two for them.

officiating seemed quite random

2x offside calls against WHU and 2x Arsenal not getting throw-in

may seem minor but these were shockingly inaccurate calls.

hope the young guy is OK who got KO'ed

Awesome second half burst, just wait till the next game, will be flat as performance.

Love how Wenger cut the press conference short to go "look at the market" he loves pulling the wool......

Just watching those highlights how sharp was Podolski? 1 cracking goal and 3 assists? The man's nailing his role as a winger.

ESPN has two FA Cup matches penciled in, hoping we're one of them.

poldi was great in that game.

Re-watched that magic10 mins twice since the game already ;) the last 3 goals were in about 5 minutes alone, great football that was

great win need a few wins on trott on. Got liver next in EPL i think? Hard to believe we are only a few points off top 4 considering how crap we have been most of the season LOL. My biggest concern is the amount of mins santi and wilshere are playing at the moment, Wenger will need to try and get those 2 a break somewhere in there

go gunners

We've finally got what we need, winger/strikers.
The last two seasons our wingers have been mostly going to the sides of the box and trying to find a perfect cross but know Walcott and Podolski can do that, or come in to find a pass, or score goals!
With Giroud getting better every month I can really see Arsenal coming together soon, 3rd place here we come.
Just hope we don't need Ramsey too often.

Great point cloneMM - walcott and poldi are both very proficient at crossing or scoring, genuine double-threat for the fullback to consider, especially when giroud is in the middle - he looks very good at finishing crosses with his head or either foot.

Loved that training ground move for his first yesterday - re-watch it if you guys can. Mertesacker has been coming near-post for the flick-on all season, so this time he went central, dragging his marker with him, and at the same time put a decent body-check on giroud's marker as he came out, it was beautiful.

didn't go to the game - was away when the original fixture was on so didn't get a ticket, and then could only get a ticket in the Arsenal end the other night.  Didn't really want to have to sit there on my hands all night (and it was fudgeing cold).

Danny Potts seems ok - out of hospital and all the tests seem positive.  Not really been mentioned but I am pretty sure that Sanga hit him with a piece of 4 by 2 when the ref and linesman weren't looking.  Cheating bastard.  He should be banned for 4-6 years, and West Ham should be awarded the points.

They never replayed it so I rewound mysky and watched it live. Hard to see from far away but looked like sagna clocked him one in mid-air - surprised a bigger deal hasn't been made of it.

Although nothing was made of Vaz Te's ridiculous attack on Mertesacker's leg either. Arsene really should be raising that with the FA, It was disgusting. Did anyone else even see it?
