Ramsey annoyed me a lot this morning, over-elaborating when he should've shot a couple of times, lost it unnecessarily in midfield once or twice, then BAM he shot when i didnt expect him to and what a strike it was.

Bought him into my fantasy team a few weeks back and he's delivering nicely ;)

Sagna motm for me.....we need to resign him ASAP.  2 great finishes....rambo is nuts at the moment.  Wat a way to start sunday. Giroud hold up play was excellent again but could have done better with the finish

you mean stewart robson RTJ?

Rarks me up no end.

Granted there was the occasional hairy moment, but 5 minutes away from a clean sheet against an in-form suarez/sturridge, and all he can talk about is how our team are apparently  a poor defensive unit.

Wenger didn't want you Robson, ArsenalTV didn't want you Robson, be a man about it and stop trying to bring us down, d*ckhead.

Great win. Scary that we just easily beat Pool and I still feel like weve got more In us.

Few more huge games, Dortmund then United before we get an extended break.

It'll be very good to get Jack/Poldi/Theo/Ox back to offer more on attack than we have been!

Sounded like the best home atmosphere in some time

Speaking of keepers, commentators made an excellent point about Szy, he's at his most dangerous/worst when he's like he is now and full of confidence. It's very true, the more his confidence rises the more prone he is to being a bit more dangerous with how long he takes to clear the ball etc.

I wasn't there, just watched this one in the pub.

Brilliant performance, to keep a clean sheet against those two was very decent and I knew we would score against them.
I thought Arteta in particular had a great game.

Arteta is getting a few MOM plaudits on various sites/blogs, he did have a very good game. Really stepped up in flamini's absence.

What absolute bs that is . The guy has been great lately - and has been full of confidence. Particularly the Palace game - if not for him we probably would've lost that.

I stand by it. The more confident he gets the more risks he takes with ball at feet. Watch him, he gets more and more cocky and tries to dummy oncoming strikers and play out to players when it should be belted up the pitch.
This isn't a comment on any other aspect of his game, he's doing great with his shot stopping, work in the air, communicating with the back 4, and picking his 'rush out' moments.

great result, Sagna strong as always. Pool having 3 CB's really hurt them when our wide backs attacked, there were periods there when sagna and gibbs we up around their box and we have our two CB's guarding the centre line - just brialliant. You can complain about Ramsey delaying on shots for as long as you want - as far as I can tell as long as he'd scoring consistantly you can't really complain - he's the only gunner on 10 for the season. Özil looked like he was struggling a bbit under pressure, but still managed to get the pass to Ramsey for the goal......he has easily been the best new signing we've had in ages. Arteta did well playing as the deep midfielder - I was worried pregame as Flamini has been epic in that role.

U gotta point brumbys, proven by his wtf moment near the end where he hit it into sturridge but luckily it came rite bak to him.
Think valeo probably just thinks its harsh to bring up rite now wen hes playing so well. Some great saves this season, some really good games, palace his best, defo got us the three points there.
Hasnt been widely reported but apparently he signed a new bumper 4 year deal at the weekend too, deserved imo

And that's the point I guess, he has them only when he's playing so well :-)

Glad we have him for another 4 years, especially given his age.

Özil was quiet as Lucas was man-marking him all day. Freed up others though, when he dragged Lucas away from in front of their back three lol.

And thats the beauty of our side... man mark ozil all u want, weve got plenty of creativity and firepower to mess u up in plenty of other ways - and thats even without poldi, walcott and the ox...

Also are we live on Thursday morning?

Permalink Permalink

We are live I believe - checked espn pacific rim listings the other day. Sky are farking useless at updating their guide. Last time it said 'teams tba' right up til kickoff! There are usually ads but with mysky I dont see the ads anymore...
On injuries, I believe poldi is available for dortmund, but not match-fit yet, wouldnt expect him to start until after the manU tie. Walcott is training too but probably in the same boat. Gibbs and wilshere in doubt. Gibbs could be a few weeks I think, with a calf strain. Bringing in monreal shows some decent squad depth though.
Sorry lads will go bak to my injury summaries once I have me laptop back, cant b arsed trawling the newsnow feeds with me tablet

Doesn't look like Podolski, Gibbs, or Wilshere has travelled, so I'd be picking:

                 Szy

Sagna Mertesacker Koscielny Vermalen/Monreal

              Arteta  Ramsey

Rosicky        Ozil     Cazorla

                   Giroud

Well Wenger has now come out and said Gibbs and Gnabry are travelling!

Wilshere might be added to that list for United, having Flamini back for United will be crucial.

Sounds like walcott will be available for manU, and probably poldi as well. No real news on wilshere's ankle which Is worrying given the history there

So perhaps this time next week, things going well, only the ox, diaby and sanogo will still be unavailable...

Sounds like we were pretty average first half, and Napoli are 2-1 up over Marseille.

We really do need a draw here to ensure Napoli don't leap frog us!

Watched the game, top defensive performance and a massive result.

Out of the 3 huge games in a week, we are 2 from 2 and with a lot of big questions having been answered. Now to turn the Mancs over at their place for the first time in a while
