Arshavin's winner against Barca was pretty mental for me too
I love that goal, watched it several times as recently as last month
Me too. I couldn't breathe, thought I was having a heart attack haha. It was very much a Colin Firth in Fever Pitch moment for me. The last one I can remember like that was Walcott's run against Liverpool in the CL which was then cruelly taken away from us while still rolling around on the floor celebrating.
Apparently it was the first injury time goal we've scored in the league since Ramsey against Crystal Palace in the first game of last season. And the first time we have won after being behind at half time since 2011
That game against Liverpool was cruel. The best goal you'll ever see from Walcott's run (hilarious seeing Adebayor celebrate it) then they get a dodgy penalty

Are you me? Pretty sure i did the exact same celebration. Remember that game and day vividly. Went to uni in a massive sulk afterwards.
Three for me, and two for them.
Haha I think I might be as I did the exact same. Went straight to Uni after and the next few days were a blur. Don't think I said a word for about 3 days. One of the most cruel things I've ever experienced. That goal should have been talked about for decades as one of the greatest Arsenal moments, but instead it's basically forgotten. Weird, I can't think of another defeat that took me as long to get over.
That was a crazy moment, remember it well.
I often bring that goal up with the missus as the exact point she became a gooner. Back then she'd often sit and watch with me, but just offer her own criticisms/opinions without really getting into it. Then when that goal came along... she was like "oh wow" while walcott was running, then when adebayor slotted it she actually jumped up and screamed with both arms in the air. I couldn't believe it.
She was still celebrating somewhat when the peno got given, and I was howling in pain, I then had to explain to her what had just occurred. She was pretty dirt on football in general after that! Her first experience of the heartbreak that can occur, and it was a doozy.
She's always been a bit of a walcott fan since then, and when I later explained to her how Adebayor had gone about leaving the club after that, and going to man city, and then that celebration against us, she's hated him and man city with an absolute vengeance since.
Yea she did well for a while, I reckon she reached peak gooner approx 2011, then when the kids started popping out in 2012 I think she started to see it all as a bit of a hassle... she doesn't watch much anymore, although she does still ask the result the next morning, and she has particularly enjoyed the career demise of some of the guys who buggered off.
She has nothing but pure hatred for Nasri and Adebayor in particular. True story, years ago, probably 2009 or so I think, I was talking up Nasri when he was in form, and she said "I don't trust his face. He will leave for the Man City money one day."
Fudgeing hell paul you need to teach me your ways. Few years ago when my missus found out Spurs were our closest rivals she pretended to support them to wind me up. Another one i was seeing used to love baiting me about Chelsea, which was even worse because it was last season when they were doing so well.

Mine just gets up half asleep at 2am when I shout post-goal and asks 'did they win yet?' and falls back to sleep. I'll take it.

Mine wanted to support Tottenham because she saw a cat run onto the pitch when they were playing once smh.

The goalkeeper did well of course, but we had maybe 70 per cent possession and more than 20 shots on goal, and we didn’t score. We have to look at ourselves as well, even if you can give credit to their ‘keeper.
Truth. We need to stop playing the "keeper had a blinder" card. It happens too often for it to just be a bit of bad luck on the day.
Three for me, and two for them.
Walcott, Welbeck and Campbell as a front three should be scoring goals with 70% possession against a championship side.
Welbeck can play the rust card for now but no excuses for the other two.
Elneny seems to stand out for what he does in the attacking half of the pitch, which is not what we needed in him, I want to see what his DM skills are like... we already have rambo, ox, wilshere as box to box types.Early days but whoever said song v2 might be spot on thus far!
Early days but I like what I see from Elneny so far. Looks pretty tidy on the ball and he was definitely sitting deeper yesterday when Flamini was getting forward, as he often does. He needs to stop shooting from distance though!

Alex Bruce said on Twitter he 'got away with one' refer to his intentional handball in the box to block Elneny's shot. I really don't think he's done himself any favours admitting that.
From what I saw on the weekend I had the following thoughts to offer up:

I think Welbeck got taken off as its only his 2nd game back, completely agree regarding Flamini.....for me he slows the game down way too much.
I like the look of elneny, his passing is top notch. I think he got a bit carried away trying to impress with his shooting
Yeah iwobi does look excellent, very good on the ball.
mmmm the OX......apart from his raw pace he seems to lack in every other department, mind you he's only 22 but he step start stepping up soon
go gunners
