Some hit from Xhaka!

Only seen the highlights but looked like a decent three points. Some well taken goals in there.

Now let's smash the Chelsea scum next week.

Three for me, and two for them.

Great result. No more Sanchez penalties please.

Wenger not impressed re Sanchez taking the penalty when Cazorla was the one nominated. That aside, excellent result.

I've never been sold on Iwobi but the guy continues to plug away, proving me wrong. Seems he's bulked up a bit since last season as well... looks a bit bigger and stronger?

He could have had 3-4 goals over the last 2 games, instead ended with none, but continues to get himself into dangerous positions. He has an excellent pass on him, always gets his head up, and has good pace as well. Be interesting to see how he develops over the season.

I think it was a bit rough giving that goal to Sanchez, clearly Iwobi's put the thing away and Sanchez is that pr*ck on your team that comes through and smashes it home to steal the credit off you.

Iwobi looks a proper player. Does what a wide forward should be doing and you only need to watch the alternative (Ox) play to see how big a difference that makes.

only thing about Iwobi is that his defensive side of the game lacks a bit.  Can't see Ox even making bench once Rambo returns

We are getting results without playing our best which is awesome.

Chelsea will be a great test

It's odd that his defensive side was a bit off, from memory last season both he & Campbell had the energy & discipline to get back.

I think on the weekend with Coquellin pushed up a bit we were exposed on the break a bit leaving Iwobi/Monreal looking a bit average.

Don't think it's impossible for them to figure out.

Iwobi was great going forward, but didn't help out Monreal at all the entire game. Against a better team, we would've been slaughtered down that side.

That isn't forgivable for a wide forward. Doesn't matter how good he was going forward.

He looks more like a No. 10 to me for that reason. An Ozil alternative.

Yep Iwobi is a #10

Ox at DM in a 4-2-3-1

Both would be third cab off the rank in their best position as well.

Looks like we're in for a total overhaul for this game; would enjoy seeing;

                      Ospina

Debuchy Holding Gabriel Gibbs

              Elneny     Xhaka

     The Ox    Iwobi The Jeff

                   Perez

I'd be up for that lineup, for sure.

I'd like to see Xhaka starting more important games than the League Cup if I'm honest.

Three for me, and two for them.

I know that this would ruin my tips, but i want Bendtner to have a great game against us ay. I know hes a cod but ive always had a soft spot for him. and he will be playing with a lot to prove.

anyone know what time the game is on in NZ time?

6.45am.

Just had a look, and on Sky they're showing Chelsea vs Leicester on two different channels - Bein and SS3. But no other live games.

Then flicking through, a replay of Liverpool v Derby later on, and that's it. Our game doesn't seem to be on at all.

Be very surprised if he doesn't start with Santi v Chelsea

I agree with Arsene easing him in - I thought his sub appearances were actually quite poor until that goal. He looked like a guy with all the skill but someone who will take a while to adapt to the pace.

The Liverpool game is playing 6am on SS3, they have CFC scheduled on that channel in error. They can only show the games if they are showed in the UK and this is what I found online...

Live EFL Cup football on TV (formerly the Capital One Cup, traditionally the League Cup) is shown in the UK by Sky Sports. During the 2016/2017 season, Sky Sports will exclusively show 2 live matches from the first round to the fifth round, both legs of each EFL Cup semi-final and the EFL Cup final on TV.

"...sure beats doin' stuff."

Whoops. In my 'just woke up pre-coffee state' I posted this when they had the pre-match footage from the ground.

I thought he was a winger. Wenger's either planning on converting him or needed a stop gap to give him a rest as Debuchy wasn't ready/the league cup is benneath him.

Maitland-Niles could be Wenger's next fullback conversion. He is the master of that - Bellerin, Cole, Gibbs, Lauren, etc etc.

Arseblog had clips of the first three goals but not the fourth, apparently a cracker from the Ox, trying to find a clip online.

I'm sure I heard he had an injury? He's been struggling with niggling injuries for over a year now, when on loan etc.

He's a good player. It's a pity he packed a sad.

Have to beat Chelsea this weekend, no red cards , I don't care if Cesc scores but no Costa.
