They'll come to regret not getting Hart. He may not be good with his feet, but he is a perfectly apt shot-stopper.
I'm a bit disappointed we are not in for Hart, but at the same time would be happy for us to go all season before we discover any deficiencies in Stekelenburg game. He is still a step up from an ageing Howard at least.

After some promise, deadline day looks like it turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. At least we made Levy open his wallet for once I guess. Would have been nice to get another RB and striker, but with no Europe, the team shouldn't be burdened with games.
The Toffees played some awesome stuff this morning in the first half but Palace just would not give up. Was great to watch until I had to actually go and mow the lawns before work.

Tough game, started well but Liverpool deserved the win and Barclay should have been sent. Still it's Christmas and it's nice to give 3 points to your little brother. Just like Anfield being a hand me down.
Take the 3 points at the home of the champions, but that was - again - a pretty tough watch. Hardly any creativity. Will need 5 decent players in January to start to push on, but will probably end up with 3, with at least 1 being a teenager we won't see in the first team for years.

Looks a really handy player. Confident, very skillful but happy to do the work and not be second fiddle.
So Rooney has been a naughty boy (again) and Barkley is being a complete dickhead. We need both those guys to sort their sh1t out and get on the pitch playing to their ability. I don't know, I thought Barkley had a good shot to get a lot of playing time at Chelsea if he signed. We only had 3 players covering those 2 central midfield roles in Kante, Cesc and Bakayoko. Plus only Hazard, Willian and Pedro covering the 2 more attacking midfield roles.
I don't know the reason he didn't sign but if it was anything to do with him not tinhking he would get enough playing time then I'm happy we didn't sign him if he already didn't think he was good enough.

So for 200k per WEEK, I think any eye candy would certainly take it on the chin to keep up a lifestyle that includes "10 holidays per year".

Have to lay a fair bit of the blame at Steve Walsh for not getting in the right people (like any striker?). Koeman seemed set in his ways as well so when it went pear-shaped, couldn't find a way out.
Not sure much is going to improve until the January transfer window.
Yet at Southampton Koemen was doing well. He should have stayed there. Shame for the Toffees but hey, what a proud record for longevity in "Div 1"/EPL.

Now add that to the fact that being a football fan rationality/commonsense/logic sometimes goes out the window... I'll stop now.

Apart the their last match yes they were in freefall just go on their fan forums. Most were preparing for Championship football. Allardyce will get you out of relegation until you can get your shark together to appoint the next Guardiola.
