Players who don't make it out of the group stages will be back for the Spurs match - the only particularly tricky fixture in that list.
Still in a state of Relief. No big departures, a lucky 3 points, all is well with the Toon.

any away win is most welcome
I thought there wasn't something right about last season. I've just checked and it was our slide down the table from early on, but more importantly that we didn't finish 9th or higher...

Oh - that's what you posted. I like this drupel with dolby NR platform.
Have been thinking that I should chose an underdog team, one that always fails to play to its potential and also one that will put me in touch with the youth (15-25 yo), so I can learn why they spout so much "lame drivel" (I think that's what you call it in your wonderful street lingo).
Maybe this one?

Anyone hoping for cup glory? Don't forget the FA Youth Cup! 5th Round upcoming, with the R's youngsters coming north. Those who don't have a second choice for the competition may wish to back West Ham's youth team, which features Rob Lee's son Oliver. (They're still on the opposite side of the draw from Newcastle, so a dream final is possible.)
Newcastle last won the FA Youth cup in 1985 (0-0, 4-1 over Watford). Paul Gascoigne scored a brilliant 30 yarder in the second leg. I don't know if the cup-winning team had any other great footballers in it, though Bristol City fans might remember Brian Tinnion with some fondness.Villa will be out to solidify their reputation as Toon rivals, while Newcastle have last season's 6-0 victory to improve upon. Previews at .co.uk, ESPN FootballNet and the Guardian.
Ed at .com reports that Demba Ba's infamous release clause may be eliminated by giving the lad a new contract. It would seem that the club agreed with Ba to pay him so-so wages on the understanding that he could leave for very little compensation. Now Newcastle are looking to give him the improved contract without the need for a change of location.

Thrashing Chelsea at the Bridge was better tbh.
Young Haris Vuckic is off at Cardiff for a month - I didn't notice it with all the hullaballoo about Spurs! He's made two starts for just over 120 minutes and scored one goal. Tidy.
