Cheryl Cole - Ashley Coles popstar wife said she would want to buy NUFC if she had the money. Imagine having her as a owner. Shes well fit.

Wooah! That would certainly bring in the crowds at SJP!

Sort of reminds me of the TV programme "The Manageress" (Cheri Lunghi?)  - you know women on top!

Could work - there'd be a lot more competition to get in the squad.  Excuse me while I go and have a cold shower (walks awkwardly towards the bathroom).

Also see he is nominated for Manager of the month (ooh err ... page 3 in The Crack!) - well why wouldn't he be?

He has to win manager of month. What he has achieved under the circumstances is great.

Think Hughton will go with young Ranger up front and Nolan in behind him. Lovenkrands off the bench too...

Poor Ashley!!!

"It had already been a bad year for billionaire Mike Ashley; yoday, it got so much worse. Sports Direct, the retailer he founded 25 years ago, has been struggling in the recession and is 400m in debt; Newcastle United, the team he owns, have been ejected from the Premier League; and he has lost tens of millions on bad business deals.

This morning, when he should have been celebrating the likely sales boost after England qualified for the World Cup finals, the Serious Fraud Office raided his corporate headquarters in Derbyshire to investigate allegations of fraud and price fixing."

Andy Carroll looks a possibility to start against Blackpool. Lovenkrands and Butt also in the squad/starting XI.

Keegan and Cashley in court (another debacle in the making here that could impact badly on the club)

First loss of the season to Blackpool.  But Carroll got a nice header in.

Plenty more games to come.

4-0 to the Mags over Ipswich. That will teach them for taking on a former Sunderland gaffer! Nolan getting a hattrick and Nile Ranger and Carroll looking handy too.

Ex Bolton. Arrived in the latter part of last season but couldn't stop the rot.

Maybe a younger brother to the Nolan Sisters?

Deffo! Hard working player, Megson tried to knick him back after the Toon went down

Hows he been getting on this season?

5 goals in the league and 1 in the carling cup this season. Played up front for a game when the injuries started to pile up for the strikers.

Wonder where the Nolan Sisters are these days?

Keegan's compensation claims to force NUFC into administration
anyone read this article?
this would be beyond ironic if even a shred of truth involved.

Anythings possible with Mike Ashley. The compensation will be agreed this week by tribunal.

Not ironic - epic as in Greek Tragedy epic.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a good case for Keegan. Unfortunately rather than the incompetent owner suffering it will impact mostly on the club, the players, the temporary gaffer and the fans.

It's worse than the Nolan Sisters (with or without 80s boob tubes)...

Yes but the suffering is years long
people can acclimatize themselves to pain
Rich people do not pay for their mistakes, it is a given that the good people of Newcastle will carry the can so to speak, and in fact, already are.

Nolan's released an album last year apparently
how is that for anyone can make a comeback?

well not Ashley anyway, given the potential for disaster in this latest shambles if indeed the news report I read is in any way accurate.

A sorry state of affairs and I feel badly for all you NUFC supporters.

I've got a QPR V Newcastle poster laminated from 75/76 up on the wall, also got a video of that 5-5 draw all those years ago.
