Given that Henry was one of my idols as a kid, yes you did.

Well why are you in a Tottenham thread and expecting anything different then?

over 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Why are you discussing a player who hasn't played for Arsenal in over 3 years in the Tottenham thread then?

Three for me, and two for them.

over 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
I wasn't discussing him, just bagging him.

Why? Has he got a hold on you or something? Obsessed much?

Woodgate goneski - sort of. No great loss really as we played without him last season during the business end.

Edit: Although it must be said that with King even more dodgy than he was before this does add a bit of angst in the mix.

In other news Judas Campbell leaves the scum

Is there an Icelandic team in the CL qualifiers that we can count on?

Big draw later on today (well, tonight!). Couple of potentially tricky teams we could get...

League Route
SeededUnseededSevilla FC (ESP)FC Dynamo Kyiv (UKR)SV Werder Bremen (GER)SC Braga (POR)FC Zenit St. Petersburg (RUS)UC Sampdoria (ITA)Tottenham Hotspur FC (ENG)AJ Auxerre (FRA)AFC Ajax (NED)BSC Young Boys (SUI)

Young Boys would be excellent, others are all beatable, but Dynamo Kiev conceivably the trickiest possible tie.

Auxerre are kinda my French team. As I spent quite a bit of time there recently and enjoyed the place. So I hope for Zenit or Ajax really. But no matter what it will be a hard game.

Yesssss

Indeed!

"Young Boys have started their domestic season but have failed to win any of their opening three matches and their disappointment at being paired with Spurs, who last appeared in Europe's premier club competition in the 1961-62 season, was acute. Alain Baumann, the club's sporting director, described the draw as "the worst that we could have" and conceded that their chances of going through were "very, very little".

Spurs will face Young Boys at the Stade de Suisse on 17 or 18 August, with the second leg at White Hart Lane the following Tuesday or Wednesday."

A trip to Wankdorf to beat Young Boys...

Great draw for the Spurs.

And how I would lol if Werder Bremen take care of Sampdoria and leave the Italians with only 3 teams at the start of the tournament proper.

This Bostock we (the Tigers) have loaned, is he any good?
over 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
No idea sorry - don't think he made many starts for the first team. Never seen any match reports about him.

Maybe HH or Phil_Style might have followed him.

A great talent, Ed! He played a few Tinpot cup games last season and didn't look out of his depth (albeit against lower league opposition). If it's flair Hull have been missing, he could be your man (well, still a boy I think, but as 'wonder kids' go, he could see you all right).
over 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
he's already won the fans over with a great strike from well outside the box
over 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Sounds like he made an instant impact.

I see you have Nobby Solano there too (the old and the young)

Seen this pic of Judas training at Newcastle...?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1301176/Piers-Morgan-Manchester-United-wont-make-Wayne-Rooneys-aura-shattered.html (scroll down a bit)

Apparantly after being accused of being too fat he told reporters 'What you expect, I've been on my Honeymoon for a week'

A week on honeymoon does that? I thought Honeymoons were full of 'exercise' (although there's always been rumours about him, so getting married to a woman could be a clever ruse!)
