Can't blame the lad really, he just wants Champions League football.

Moyes seemingly the target of Dan's affections.

Not sure about that, but in Danny We Trust.

Redknapp officially gone now -what does that mean for Nelsen. Maybe he'll be the next Spurs manager

Realistically though - Moyes? Would be interesting to see what he does at a club with a little more money to spend (although not much more...). Martinez? Would suit the Spurs ethos...

Unbelievable decision by the board considering what he inherited and where they were when he arrived Fourth last year as well

Auckland will rise once more

Unbelievable decision by the board considering what he inherited and where they were when he arrived Fourth last year as well

Not really. He was demanding a four year contract - trying to push Levy into a corner.

He's been good for the club but he was starting to undo all the progress he'd made over the previous seasons.

'Harry Redknapp will pocket around £3m when leaving Spurs, which after tax is around £3m'.

but apparently 'Arry would have won the league in 2 years if he had been allowed to stay:

AVB now being mentioned - more encouraging.  This is so un-Spurs-like, having all this play out so early in the off-season.

Quite enjoyable compared with the last minute player transfers.

Smeg! Bale out of Team GB with a back injury.  Hope he is FULLY recovered for the EPL (7 weeks away, 1st game at Saint James' Park).

OMG, AVB!

A risk? Maybe? But I'm excited, think he could fit well with us

I see Ashley Cole joined Twitter and after a barrage of abuse from ARSEnal fans, apparently whipped up this image and tweeted it back...

From the Guardian live transfer update (earlier):

Expect to find this in a Christmas cracker some time soon. Such as, um, at Christmas. "I wonder if Spurs' new keeper will improve London's climate?" sets up George Wright. "After all, Everwhere Hugo, Lloris Take the Weather With You."

Massive amount of wheeling and dealing going on by Dan (makes 'Arry look like an understudy to Del Boy).

EPL now kicks off in earnest but I think it will take a while for Spurs to settle down and have the squad familiar with each other (ooh err).

Oh dear! Still Cesar pulled off a brilliant double save and we had Bale & Lennon under control. We need the points more than you do.

9.57pm GMT

There's not a whole lot to say about this; Spurs were just absolutely excellent in absolutely every aspect. They played with rhythm, tempo, beat and belief, at disconcerting pace and with scorching intensity. Inter did not.

Nighty-night.

9.55pm GMT

FULL-TIME: Spurs 3-0 Inter

In some regards thought that spurs did well to grab a point this morning, i think that this time last year they would've dropped all 3 so i think thats a positive step but in saying that two dropped today is not ideal going into a huge last few rounds!!

Thoughts on how it will play out from here?

A series of splutters and chokes and 5th if we are lucky. 40 years of THFC...why should my thoughts change now?

Yea i watched that too, neville is (surprisingly) great isnt he

I am seriously rating chelsea as most likely to finish 5th after watching it, their run-in is very tough, especially with the added fixture congestion

Guess it isn't the first time Adebayor has shat himself when faced with a shootout.
