Viewing the EFL live 2017/18

Sounds great, but a potential catch:

More than 1,500 matches will be available in HD quality, with iFollow showing every EFL league match live unless that match has been selected by the EFL’s overseas broadcast partners.

Not of interest to myself, but it's a great step - may it continue for other leagues!

I rate that caveat - much better than saying that the platform won't work at all for any games just because there is a broadcast partner.

Puts the impetus back on the broadcaster to actually show matches, rather than just squatting on the rights like some (including Sky) do.

so we have better access to EFL matches than we do EPL. That seems backwards.

We also have better access to EPL matches than those in the UK do... that also seems backwards.

I wonder if it will have an on demand option though. No mention of it in that release.

SS Prem rights. Sky only broadcast one game a week, but flex their muscles to make sure that games they aren't broadcasting aren't live streamed. That's squatting. Use the "exclusive broadcast rights" that you are paying nothing for, or let others stream games in your absence.
