Hmmm, I have a couple of satellites on my roof to pic kup differant things (mainly alot of Iraqi, God and Dutch Tv, some can be quite interesting channels though)

Of cause, some are blocked, such as the Australian sport channels.

I suppose, you may be able to email the companies and see if you can buy their service from over here, probably not though due to licensing.

Sky won't give you the option though.

Yep, 2 channels dedicated to golf and golf replays, 2 to rugby/rugby replays, 1 to Basketball/Sports Centre and Tommy Smyth with a Y.

One live on 31 and then if your lucky a couple delayed UK 3PM KO games later during the day (Apart from Boxing Day and Last Day of the season when they normally show two live games, one on 31 and 32.)

dumb. sky need a football channel. what football do they have rights to? they have rights to all premier league ae? do they have any other leagues?

The A-league.

It wouldn't be that hard for them to sit their and play replays on a channel, and use it for double ups at game time.

They used to show Scottish, Dutch and South American football. They could easily fill a channel dedicated to football. But then that might prove a threat to that holiest of Grails - Thugby.

Does anyone watch Sky during the week? The amount of time the Premierships games are replayed is brilliant, don't be a lazy sh*t and check the guides. Every Premiership game is on, and will be replayed any number of times during the week

Yeh, I love watching replays at 1am. And its so helpful when they replay the 6am game at 6am the next day (on a Weekday)Michael2009-03-07 20:04:01

Every afternoon this week I have come and seen replays on, most nights as well. Replay of Arsenal-WBrom on this afternoon. Its bullsh*t to say Skys coverage of the Premier League is poor

Its poor. If I miss a United match due to school I barely ever see a replay at another non-school time. Plenty of Stormers vs Cheetahs though.

And I feel sorry for those whom get delayed.Michael2009-03-07 23:37:46

Nope Everton v Blackburn was live during mid week this week and I had to wait until the 2nd replay to see Arsenal's game. Everton v Blackburn resulted in 0-0 and was boring as sh*te to watch andManyoo-Newcastle & Arsenal s game BOTH had more than 2 goals!

Yeah Serie A Coverage is pretty good now, La Liga is a little less than it was last season because of increase in Serie A but the coverage is really good with all big teams shown.

ESPN replaced the Eredivisie and Scottish Prem with Serie A and La Liga, not bad a swap imo. Actaully it has also added UEFA Cup too (only a handful though) and the FA Cup to go with Champions League coverage.

Really your only tossing up between watching Serie A, Premier League or La Liga games on Sunday and Mondays.

there are very few games that you cant watch streamed over the net. Im happy if sky dontdont to show the games, im not going to miss them, but they wont get any advertising revenue if we all start watching matches streamed over the internet. I can watch Arsenal TV over here as i have a paid subscription to the online version. whislt im typing this, i have another page open with live coverage of Arsenal reserves vs West Ham reserves. Brilliant :P

Drogba, I take it you actually have an HD Tv.

Also, in the Tv quality "rankings" The quality just below HD (forgot what its called) actually comes so close to HD you can't tell the difference. Paying extra for HD is actually a bit of a have.

Get yourself a My Sky box.  Then it doesn't matter what time of the day and night the game/replay is on you don't miss a thing and you can fast forward through all the crap ads.

HD TV's are cheap you can get a HDMI capable screen for a few hundred bucks (ok an LCD monitor with HDMI) but a tv that plays 1080p is less than a grand, much cheaper than decent CRTV's when they were the best.

HD is much better quality than SD (Standard), I don't know how people don't see a large difference. I think it's $15 a month to get SkyHD so pretty cheap to try it (compared with all the overall original costs). But it's up to you.

Vertical resolution SD = 480p
Vertical resolution HD = 1080p (But I think Sky is 720p)

Think of comparing things on your computer screen resolution old 800X600 to 1440X900 (well what I use)

sky needs to open up some spare channels so they can play all their football live. could they do that if they wanted? have a few channels that arent used unless theres multiple live matches

They could and it wouldn't really cost them anything, we'd be quite happy with a channel 369 that just popped on when some football came on. Just they won't.
