Morning all,

during our Wellington Liverpool FC supporters club meeting last night (something we have to do an an official supporters club) we discussed the events we have for LFC games at one of three venues dotted around the city (mainly The Pub or Three Kings) and how good it would be to get some committed opposition fans along to games.

Part of what we discussed was targeting specific games, especially the ones played at more humane hours (12:45am on a Sunday, 7am Monday etc) and games that encourage more turnouts (derbies, rivalries etc.). With that in mind, we are going to be going through the fixture list (which is subject to change with European commitments) and then pick and promote certain games.

This has a flow on benefit for other supporter groups to meet up more often, for the bars that support LFC Wellington to get more people through the doors and most importantly, get a great atmosphere going during games.

What I'll do is regularly add is when the next game is, what event we have set up and I'll also add a reminder the opposition for that week.

We'd naturally love it if people became involved with our events. As an official supporters club, we are making efforts to give back to charities, not only those connected to LFC but also local charities. The game vs Bournemouth for example saw us donate food items to Wellington City Mission. City Misson Tweet

We look forward to seeing more fans from other teams (as well as more LFC supporters) at the games and i'll be back later today with details of Liverpool vs Arsenal for Tuesday next week.

        LFC v Arsenal – Tuesday 25th August, 7am - The Pub
Come and join us for breakfast at The Pub, 101 The Terrace as Liverpool take on the Arsenal at The Emirates - Doors open at 6:30.

After losing their first game of the season 2-0 against a rejuvenated West Ham side, Wenger’s Boys scraped a win against Palace last weekend (albeit relying on an own goal to clinch victory).

We (LFC Wellington) had a great turn out at The Pub on Tuesday for our first LIVE game of the season.

LFC Wellington’s Commitment to Charity

One of our obligations as an Official Supporters Club is to support both the LFC Foundation and local charities.Last season we raffled LFC and CFC shirts and made a donation to Heart Kids by sponsoring one of our local LFC fans who rode around Taupo 4 times. For our first 3 LIVE games this season; Bournemouth – 18th August, Arsenal – 25th August, Man Utd – 13th September(subject to license) we request that people bring an item that we can donate to the Wellington City Mission Foodbank.

You can find a list of items that they are desperate for here: http://www.wellingtoncitymission.org.nz/public/foodbank

Would love to join the Arsenal fans but going to be in Las Vegas. Our in fact on a tour bus to the Grand Canyon if I've worked out the time correctly. Got a tablet with me so hoping to get PLP to work in the hotel in the evening to watch it.

Just a reminder, when you come along tomorrow we'll be collecting food items for the Wellington City Mission.

At the moment they are after spreads, tinned fish/meat, muesli bars, raisins, instant noodles, cereals and tinned fruit, veges and soup.

Bring along what you can!

Arsenal vs LFC - great game, very entertaining 0 - 0 draw and as 'Pool fan, disappointing we didn't sneak the 3 points but happy enough to come away from Emirates with a point.

Thanks for all who turned out for this game and especially those who made food donations for Wellington City Mission.

The next game we will likely organise an event for is Scu...I mean Man United away which is after the International Break. West Ham is at silly hours (2am Monday maybe?) so will likely not meet for this.

Watch this space and please post away in here if you want to get involved with LFC Wellington or liaise with us as a supporter of another club.

Hello Liverpool and United fans...(or interested neutrals)

we're hoping to work out the finer details of having the United vs Liverpool derby played somewhere in Wellington this weekend.

The Liverpool supporters club will be there so maybe a few United fans for some added atmosphere?

We'll likely be collecting for a local charity as well but will update you when we know more.

LFC Wellington (and to be fair, mostly KopGoff) have been working hard to bring Jamie Carragher to Wellington instead of Auckland.

Thanks to the campaign we have run to get people interested across the region, we can now confirm his visit to Wellington on Feb 23rd at the Embassy Theatre.

Tickets go on sale this week and I'll flick out more details as they come to us.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Knew that would be it. Could be interesting, but no doubt more so for Liverpool fans. Will see how much the tickets are.

EPL teams better pull finger in Europe. If Italian teams do ever so slightly better than the EPL in Europe this season they could overtake the EPL in the UEFA coefficients and result in only 3 UCL spots for the EPL next season.

English teams have 5 losses, 2 wins and a draw in the main European comps so far (not including the two teams, West Ham and Southampton, that got knocked out in Europa league qualifiers).

Oh behalf of LFC Wellington...

Spurs v LFC & charity fundraiser Sunday 12:45am 18th October

Come and join us at Four Kings as we welcome Jurgen Klopp to LFC for his first game v Spurs. Like many, we’re intrigued, and excited, to see how the side will line up and how our Redmen will go trying to impress the new gaffer! There’s only 1 point separating these 2 sides in the league at present, a win could potentially mean a spot in the top 4.

This will likely be the best kick off time we will get all season, 12:45 on a Saturday night / Sunday morning and we’re expecting a big croud. Make sure you get down early.

We are also running a raffle as a fundraiser for Heart Kids. Last November we held a similar fundraiser and raised over $400 for Heart Kids by sponsoring Chris Little as he rode around Taupo 4 times.

This year we have 2 awesome prizes available.

A Liverpool 15/16 home shirt that has been signed by 19 members of the touring squad that went to Australia. Signatures include Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Kolo Toure, Nathaniel Clyne, Simon Mignolet, Lucas Leiva, Joe Gomez, Joe Allen, Divock Origi, Adam Bogdan, and Jordan Rossiter.

A Tottenham Hotspur home shirt that has been donated by Under Armour for the raffle.

This raffle is open to all fans throughout NZ. There are 2 ways you can get into the draw to win one of the fantastic prizes and give a little to Heart Kids NZ.

Visit our Heart Kids NZ givealittle page https://givealittle.co.nz/fundraiser/lfcwellingto... and make a donation by 9pm Saturday 17th October. Every $10 will give you a ticket in the draw. Please ensure your name is included (so we know who to contact) and that you write in the comments section ‘LFC’ or ‘Spurs’ so we know which shirt you would like to win.

In person at the Four Kings with cash on Saturday 17th October. Every $10 you give will give you a ticket in the draw There’s no limit to the number of tickets you can get and the winners will be drawn at half time (but you don’t have to be there to collect your prize. We’ll send it on if you’re not).

Thanks for your support and hope to see you Saturday/Sunday YNWA

Capital One Cup Final: Liverpool vs Man City

We’re excited to let you know that once again Four Kings have come up with the goods and have secured a license for us to meet for the Capital One Cup Final v Manchester City!

What you need to know:

  • You need to be a member of LFC Wellington. Only members will be admitted on the day. Don’t worry it’s FREE. You can sign up here http://www.lfcwellington.co.nz/membership
  • Entrance will cost $5. This will include a donation to a charity we will confirm soon.
  • A limited breakfast will be available.
  • Doors will open at 5.00am and Kick Off is at 5:30am.

Win a signed shirt

We’ll be running a signed LFC shirt fundraiser leading up to the event. The shirt was signed by 27 of the group that toured Australia for pre-season. Signatures include: Clyne, Ojo, Mignolet, Sakho, Rossiter, Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Milner and Toure. Funds from this raffle will go to LFC Wellington to help us recoup the significant costs we’ve already incurred. Details on how to enter will follow shortly.

We look forward to seeing a great turnout.

The season is fast approaching and it would be good to get together for games in Wellington for EPL fans.

Anyone know of any organised EPL supporters clubs out there in Welly?

Aware of LFC obviously and I know AFC are getting something going. EFC? MUFC? Spurs? CFC?

Not sure where to put this link BUT it's a bloody brilliant way to help kill a nightshift by listening to it!!

This link lets you hear the games that normal means often say "Sorry, you are out of the coverage area" etc. It's "live" and there is no lag.

Great work from factions within both the LFC Wellington Supporters Club and Yellow Fever. We're lucky to have some great people within both groups.

I'm gutted that I can't make this tomorrow night but hope some of you can, whether you're an LFC fan, a football fan or take an interest in how the injustice of Hillsborough played out, this will be well worth making the journey along and entry is free.

Afternoon all,

If you know any LFC fans, please share the content of this post with them.

Whether you are a Prem League fan, an LFC fan or a football fan in general, we want to make sure that we can keep some class ex-professional football players coming to Wellington and not risk losing these events to Auckland or even not getting them to NZ all.

We've managed to get Jamie Carragher and Robbie Fowler here so far and the next even is a quadruple whammy with Garcia, Riise, Didi and Dudek, players who have won the highest available domestic honor and who have brilliant stories to tell.

We welcome fans of all teams and while the focus is LFC, it is also a celebration of football while also hearing what goes on behind the scenes and once the final whistle has blown.

I know for a fact that LFC Wellington has done some great work with YF, the Nix and the wider Wellington community in general so supporting this event, directly supports them in return.

Tickets available for this event now!
